  • I wouldn't call Thomas Jefferson a liberal, using today's definition of the word. A liberal of the 18th century would be more like a modern libertarian.

  • Fact : Lincoln was a republican. But these Christian VALUES and the GOP is not as it was them. It's almost 180degrees away. Fuck the GOP. FUck Gengrich. Open the borders. Let the Mexicans in and throw the GOP the fuck out. Sleep with dead babies. Have open marriages. Believe in multiple gods from several creations, and become a part of today's GOP. Where the weird meets the rubber. Fck off

  • I'm conservative and an atheist :-) I also support a woman's right to abortion and gay marriage.

  • @Hontaish That's really rare!

  • This is pure comedy... Seriously... what die hard republican, conservative would vote for Jesus as president? Jesus and his teachings go against the republican political war machine!

  • Jesus was 100% communist

  • @Ebolahill88 In my opinion, Jesus was more of a socialist then a communist.

  • @polishguy994 the story of the rich man who gave loada money to temple aint as good as poor lady who gives little but 100% is the reason i believe this.

you have a point in that communism is atheist whilst socialist can leave room for religion

  • True sign of desperation = Conservative evoking the "God or Religion argument".

  • Cenk, you're the biggest fucking idiot that gets in front of a camera. King Jr was a republican, moron. Putting God as the ultimate authority over the country does not make you subserviant. You don't understand the argument, but blather on like an empty headed moron.

  • @ROPdude Martin Luther King was totally opposed to Barry Goldwater's bid for the Presidency in 1964..The old fashioned Republican Party has NOTHING TO DO WITH THE RACIST REPUBLICAN PARTY OF TODAY

  • ah the divine and conquer mentality. it's a wonder we could ever get anything done as a people in this country. because of the various religions throughout the world, every freemason realizes that one may never reign above all. believe what you want, but don't offend or restrict another by imposing your own. why does this need to be explained?

  • Comment removed

  • you can not tell...the difference between "shit and republicans"....republicans preach god...love, mercy...but...they support all those huge rich coorporations....and turn away from those in need.....OF COURSE THEY BELIEVE IN A "GREEN EYES" GOD...WHO CARES NOTHING ABOUT POOR PEOPLE....if you are a middle class / low income...republican...you are supporting a party that goes againts you and cares nothing about you or your family.....in any case..GOD AND DEVIL SUCKS!!!

  • The title of this video is the most retarded and false statement I ever heard!!!

  • my pastor kurt last sunday that left liberals on left and conservatives right mixed poltics and religon. god did not attend this. i agree liberals love god just as much as conservatives. your left or right you believe christ you believe doesn't matter what you are potilical wise. you don't believe than you don't. it is that simple! i beliver but i am not going to push my views beliefs on others.

  • The Lord said: If you deny me in front of your friends, I will deny you in front of my father

  • @Blueberry426 okay what are you trying to say?

  • Jesus was not an Conservative, he was a left wing pacifist /watch?v=_YjRFdz65dU&list

  • @policechaser If anyone was anti 2nd Amendment

    it would be Jesus.

  • Comment removed

  • @policechaser Totally agree with you there. :/

  • REV 12:22 "Behold, I am coming soon! My reward is with me, and I will give to everyone according to what he has done.

REV 19:11 Then I saw heaven opened, and a white horse was standing there. Its rider was named Faithful and True, for he judges fairly and wages a righteous war.

The next time Jesus sets foot on earth will be as righteous judge, to end wickedness and evil forever.

  • I'm an atheist and I hate liberals....hmpf.

  • Why do conservatives hate their fellow humans?

  • "I don't think we should be ruled by Akin's god or Joe Bob's god...I don't want to be ruled by anybody's god". Yeah, that about sums up the liberal agenda...thanks for proving our point TYT. Oh, by the way, it's freedom OF religion, not freedom FROM religion. And Church and State doesn't mean NO religion, it means the state/government can't build a church and FORCE you to worship. Nothing to do with politicians professing their own beliefs...they have a right to believe, just as you do.

  • everyones God is wrong.

  • dude needs to listen to the Jefferson hour on NPR.. what a moron!

  • Church|State.

Did you forget they are separate?

  • i knew a guy named jesus once, he made a mean taco!

  • Jesus was a nice man... Note the MAN part of that sentence.

  • republicans are GIANT pussies! Pass it on! Of course he was a man. God? Neither. No gender. A girl saying he was a man..

  • @IHABC8

Way to go, America! Another recession on its way...but, we can change...

  • The vast majority of the founding fathers were Deists along with some Agnositcs and very unorthodox Christians. Read Jefferson's book: The Jefferson Bilbe. They respected Jesus as a great historical figure but they didn't accept his divinity.

  • "Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ. "

    Galatians 6:2

  • No...liberals don't believe in an invisible man in the sky who teaches people to hate people for who they are...teaches them to be greedy...and tells them to say to hell with who are less fortunate. Anyone who agrees with the current GOP stance will burn in their hell...have fun and make sure to take stuff for smores

  • @greatgonzo420 There are liberals that are Christians... XD at you thinking not. It doesn't matter, really.

  • @greatgonzo420 TECHNICALLY most liberals in this country are religious according to statistical polls. And if one were to follow the teachings of Jesus specifically to his desires then they would more or less end up with liberal ideologies. You should have said atheist/agnostic...left politics out of this. Atheists/agnostics in this country are 15-16% while liberals are 49-53%. Do the math.

  • i think its funny when people have an opinion on god when you should be more worried about gods opinion of you.

  • Does Thomas Jefferson really have a monument in D.C.? I went there and I didn't see one... I did however, see one in Virginia at some college named.... I think William and Mary. Jefferson went to that school way back when. It's a shame that I can't remember what was engraved on it. I saw the Lincoln Memorial, the White House, the house of congress, the Washington Monument, and the Pentagon. How did I miss Thomas Jefferson's Monument?

  • @ProtectandServe21 , The Jefferson memorial is the round domed building that sits beyond a body known as the Tidal Basin (not the reflecting pool) it is directly south of the Washington monument.

  • The french revolutions Declaration of the Rights of Man and of the Citizen are based on the greater good for all people, nothing to do with god...so it can be done.

  • that dude has an oddly shaped head.

  • The subtitles on these are appallingly bad...and very distracting.

  • Only in America...

  • Jesus could come back with a choir full angels accompanying him preaching that "we should feed the poor and take care of the sick" and republicans would be like, "yeah but that's not what he meant."

It is too bad that Jesus isn't real and won't be coming back.

  • `The Christian Right (CR)&Republicans often state that America was founded on Judeo Christian values. America's founding fathers were predominantly ATHEISTS& DEISTS. Republicans use abortion&gay rights issues to divide America during elections& to get CR support. After elections such issues are conveniently forgotten. By referencing biblical prophecy, the Isreal Lobby uses the CR to ensure that BILLIONS in U.S. tax$s keep flowing to Isreal. CHRISTIAN RIGHT A.K.A. USEFUL IDIOTS

  • @poindexterwitkowsky None of the founding fathers were atheists, quit saying shit that isn't true. Many were deists, few were hyper-religious. None were atheists, with the possible exception of Jefferson.

  • @poindexterwitkowsky

Although many of them were deists none of the founding fathers were athiests.

  • @poindexterwitkowsky

It doesn't fucking matter what the founding fathers believed. Why won't you understand that?

  • @mfentruck What do YOU mean? :/

I disagree with poindexter. None were atheists as most were deist.

But what do you mean, exactly? :/

  • @Volcarona32

I mean the founding fathers are dead and their beliefs should not dictate our lives. It's true that most were deists but it doesn't matter. Why should we care what they were? They are dead and gone. It would be like living by the laws of Moses because he was fucking king of the desert for a short time and people listened to him three thousand years ago. But he is irrelevant now.

  • @poindexterwitkowsky thats why everything they wrote had something to do with god on it right?

  • @poindexterwitkowsky um no the founding fathers were all christian except for benjamin franklin, he was a deist

  • Atheists are no more or less moral than any other population. I have 27 religious stations on DirectTV asking me for money. Don't you think its interesting that 15% of our population is either Atheist or Agnostic and there is not one Atheist or Agnostic station asking me for money. Statistically, there should be 4 of them. So, maybe Atheists might be a bit more moral than the religious population.

  • @rocky19421 There are many humanist/atheist groups asking for donations on television in the UK. Don't be a wanker...it's all business economics and marketing. Aside from religion, if the majority of the population caters to something...then someone will find some way to economically exploit it. Same thing happens in the UK where majority are atheists.

  • Orwell would be proud.

  • LOL Jefferson was a deist

  • This reminds me of Al Franken's "Supply Side Jesus" cartoon. When the poor were hungry, supply side jesus said "get a job."

  • I am a Pastor in Florida and it makes me sick when I here all these churches backing more wars, not funding medical benefits for women thru planed parenthood, doing away with school lunches or food programs for the poor, all in the name of Jesus(Y'shua). They will pay for their hypocrisy when their Master returns

  • 1st career mistake: Becoming a pastor. One geographic location mistake: Florida. You are simply a reverse religious idiot. No one is paying for shit. No master is going to return. There is no historical Jesus. He simply did not exist. Who was recording anything 2,044 years ago? If someone like him existed then he was JEWISH! There is more proof that Socrates existed (and he was simply made up as a mouthpiece for Plato). Step away from your bible and read some Christopher Hitchens, ya big dummy.

  • That Repub told a Bold-Faced Lie....I AM a Liberal Christian! lol I LOVE God and Jesus....that will never stop, like I'll never stop being a Liberal Progressive! ^-^

    Sincerely, tamarack1pines

  • Religion is a belief in somthing, a opinion of sorts. So being a liberal it should mean being open minded to idea's and theorys (opinions), But the liberal minded now days are closed minded to any and all opinions that they themselves disagree with even if they do not directly concern them. So being a "open minded" liberal means disrespecting the belief's of others while expecting those they disrespect to listen quietly. Sounds like a bunch of hypocrites to me (my opinion and i dont care)

  • @TheStrazy I'm open minded to ideas that have a basis in reality, religion is based on fantasy and folk myths.

  • @JACKtheRIPP3R189 while not a religious person myself. I do at least respect others enough not to ridicule them for their beliefs, Which is what, most from the look of thing "liberals" do to further a political agenda. Politics are ruthless, But they should only stoop so low.

  • @TheStrazy I think it's pretty relevant. If someone thinks that everything is going according to the plan of a sky dwelling omnipotent wizard then i question the soundness of their judgement. If something is ridiculous then it deserves ridicule.

  • @JACKtheRIPP3R189 Then why do liberals try to protect the weak ? Ever heard of natural selection? You preach it in schools why not let the weak fall to prey to life? Against nature i say let them starve !!! Darwinism FTW !!! gimmie a break Outlaw lawn darts while teaching Natural selection is just messing up natures laws.

  • @TheStrazy Probably because "weak" is a very vague term, weak how? Stephen Hawking can't do a single pushup and yet he's one of the greatest physicists in recent history. Secondly let who starve? An 80 year old can't buy groceries? Humans use their intelligence to minimize risk, many animal species do it as well. Natural selection is an explanation of speciation, not a model for building a society. Maybe you haven't made it this far yet but biology and sociology are separate subjects.

  • @JACKtheRIPP3R189 Actually i know this, Sadly some cannot recognize sarcasim (sp). The thing is religion is a personal belief and attacking someone over a belief is just stupid reguardless of what it is.

  • @TheStrazy It's not always easy to discern via text, especially when there is plenty of people out there who dont know it.

"attacking someone over a belief is just stupid"

So if i attack nazis for being violent racist thugs i'm stupid? People are responsible for their choices if they choose poorly they should be held accountable. If your neighbor believed that slavery was just fine and that rape was a fun hobby would you think him a deranged barbarian or simply accept his opinion as different?

  • Lol!! I love this guy.... Conservitive jesus oh u crack me up :)

  • "If you're gonna be an idiot, you might as well insist on being an idiot." Great line Cenk.

  • @DeepSouth16 Troll Alert .. look at his channel.. he is a Muslim hatting bigot with the name "Deep South"... obviously a closet gay southerner.. who likes it deep.... let me explain something to you "Deep"South, on the internet if you talk shit people will destroy you...

  • I dunno, Jesus IS in favor of locking people up in squalid conditions for an eternity due to minor transgressions.

  • im getting more pissed at cenk by the vid his overly lw bollucks is fucking redudant who giveas a shit about jesus being liberal im pretty sure he was niether who cares about this arguement tell me fuck all aout policy same with the previouse story i couldnt give a shit if bachmans a idiot but i doubt she is literally insane and cenk is just a cunt fuck this shit say something with meaning or stfu u useless cunt fucking liberals

  • there are no christians.

  • @DeepSouth16 Dont get mad at me for calling a duck a duck. This is where you use my same sentence structure and try to imply some negative word such as "idiot" or "retard" etc.

  • Jefferson believed in the God of Deism. He was not a Christian.

  • @mslewp Like every single founding father, too! It's not fun to give all the credit to Jefferson. ;)

  • Political haters gonna hate.

  • So, TYT, what you're saying is that Jesus was a Liberal? Because in the Bible he said give your extra money to the government, so they can buy more nails?

If you want to make your case that Jesus was a Liberal, I suggest going to social route instead of the economic one.

  • @BlueRonin44

    Social Issues! ok =^_^=

What Conservative Social Ideals did Jesus hold?

  • @BlankPicketSign I never claimed Jesus had any Conservative Social ideals, so your question is moot. My claim was that if you want to make a claim that Jesus was Liberal- which is a valid claim- then the economic approach is not the way to go.

However I may change my mind. Because Jesus did say "Render unto Caesar that which is Caesar's." I take that to mean you should kowtow to big government- which is a very Liberal position. :)

For the record, I'm an Atheist Libertarian.

  • @BlueRonin44

    Makes sense =^_^=

  • Liberals hate God/unnaccountable authority and want to replace it with Gov't/authority that is accountable to the people.

They say it like it's a bad thing.

  • Saying that I, a liberal thinker and atheist, hates God is like saying that I hate the Child Catcher from Chitty-Chitty Bang Bang. Both are horrible, mean characters but they are both imaginary. You can't hate what you don't believe in. I have no doubt there are conservative thinkers who see Jesus with a M16 in his hands slaying anyone who disagrees with his teachings (acutally, that DOES sound like the Judeo/Christian God).

  • God doesn't exist; I have contempt for his followers because they're behaving like chowderheads and trying to ram their crapola down our throats, but I can't hate their fake sky-daddy.

  • "Fix reason firmly in her seat, and call to her tribunal every fact, every opinion. Question with boldness even the existence of a God; because, if there be one, he must more approve of the homage of reason, than that of blindfolded fear." -Thomas Jefferson

  • that guy is right, because people who believe in God never do anything that is immoral!!!

  • "God keep our land, glorious and free

Oh Canada we stand on guard for thee..."

Do you know why Canadian secularists don't get up in arms about having God in our national anthem? Because fuckheads like Todd Akin don't try to use it to justify writing their moronic religious views into law.

  • Liberals hate nonexistent bullshit that gets shoved down our throats....

  • I can't help but notice that they never mention this douche is from Missouri, but every time they do a story on a dumbass Republican from Texas, the state is in the headline.

Your Republicans and just as stupid and bigoted as ours.

  • As a devout Catholic I can't imagine how anyone could think that Jesus would be conservative.

  • @DeepSouth16 In case you didnt know, destruction of opposing political position is Stalinism 101.

  • Jesus WAS a communist... if he existed at all (MLK Jr. was a pro-religion communist... almost by his own words)

God is now nothing more than a puppet for the Republicans so they can advance their own agenda, allow their own hatred, and condone their murder of others (I call it war). If anybody hates God THEY do, not liberals.

"My God has a hammer... yours was nailed to a cross. Any questions?" ~VeryDemotivational

  • tommy j. raped a looooooooooooot of slaves and bore many bastard children with them. thats all.

  • It is awesome that this jerk-off quoted Jefferson... Who was not a christian. He did not believe that Jesus was a "god". He even wrote his own bible removing the nonsense miracles/magic tricks.

  • I agree with Cenk, but Jefferson was in France when the Constitution was written.

  • If Jesus ran for public office, conservatives would crucify him for his radical, liberal positions... again...

  • @manonthemount Evidently, you don't understand what liberal means? It is quite literally a Marxist hoax to disguise its true intentions and name.PERIOD....

  • If Jesus came back Beck would call him The Antichrist.

  • jesus wouldn't be a republican if they paid him

  • Liberals do hate God because they are always promoting wickedness such as abortion, homosexual marriage, legalization of drugs, etc.

  • @mrchiefofsinners do you think Jesus would be for putting people who have committed non violent crimes in cages without any redemption or forgiveness once released? Only because they put a substance in their own body. When did Jesus become such an asshole?

  • @mrchiefofsinners Man, I have got i all wrong about you people in the States. First of all, I did not know you had a Liberal party in the States. Secondly, I always thought the Republican and the Democratic parties were political parties. I now find out that the two parties are religious parties. One party religious, the other not. It is very confusing since I see lots of Democrats being religious, the President a lot. Help!

  • @mrchiefofsinners If God heard what you say about other Americans, he would spank your bottom.

  • @mrchiefofsinners It is so nice to read your comments. It restores my faith in mankind seeing that there are real good people in this world standing up against all the wickedness. Give your hand two kisses when you go to bed to night.

  • @mrchiefofsinners drugs yes, gay marriage no, abortion no

  • @DeepSouth16 It kinda sounds like you wanna get rid of freedom of speech. Maybe you should hop in the Delorean, hit 88 MPH and go back to Soviet Russia....comrad.

  • Funny how mainstream conservative christians without exception know nothing of the true intent or meaning of the teachings of Christ. It would be funny if it weren't so tragic and they didn't have power over my life. .

  • @TheYoungturks Lizard

  • If our rights come from God then why do we have laws? Wouldn't we just know all of our rights?

  • Jesus would definitely be for tax cuts for the rich

  • @spinnersmetal

of course he would. He think said "Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a "poor" man to enter the kingdom of God"

  • JESUS IS LORED!

  • Liberals and muslims are in the same boat, SINK IT.

  • Hes unamerican for going against the founding fathers and unchristian for not loving his neigbours, i wish more people in power called people out like that for their transgressions.

  • This guy is full of crap !! the reason why our country is so great is because our constitution was based on the idea that god gave us unalienable rights. Life, liberty, and the persuit of happiness are all gifts from god, not from the government or a king or dictator. Also Martin luther king was a republican christian !!!!

  • @kingofyal1 What from Zeus? The constitution was a product of the enlightenment - SCIENCE over voodoo superstition. And explain again why religion is excluded from government - you guys are just INSANE... And king was a republican? So Martin Luther king was a bigoted right winger? I bet he was white too...

And it's AMAZING you steered clear of what Jesus was... Someone who said you cant be rich and get to heaven - no way no how - is the figure head of the jaw droppingly geedy party? Sheez...

  • Can't hate what doesn't exist.

  • @Nexius8 then what attracted you to make that comment? you're either in denial or you feel that the non-existence of God has much greater appeal or relevancy to your life perspectives or philosophies. Obviously your mind is in flux, just like the many people who deny the existence of god despite their mind's capacity to consider it as a possibility. You made the statement because you want to test out whether or not it has a foundation in this reality. The concept exists, so you've got nothing.

  • @CorbanNewman Sounds like you are the one denying reality. I know what is real and have done for a long time. I don't hate God as they would be like hating ghosts or the tooth fairy. I don't hate the religious, I pity them. I hate some con artists who pose as religious for political and personal gain.

  • @Nexius8 The only reality I'm denying is yours. I deny your reality, hook, line and sinker. You deny the power of god because you've never seen it. You can't deny what you don't know exists, you can only conclude it doesn't based on a lack of evidence but even that form of reasoning is primitive. What you're telling me is that there are NO conditions that allow an eternal soul to learn EVERYTHING and have all power. Don't insist that everyone else be as limited and faithless as you.

  • Comment removed

  • Doesn't Article 6 state "The Senators and Representatives before mentioned, and the Members of the several State Legislatures, and all executive and judicial Officers, both of the United States and of the several States, shall be bound by Oath or Affirmation, to support this Constitution; but no religious Test shall ever be required as a Qualification to any Office or public Trust under the United States. Why don't they talk to this when they tout the founding fathers?

  • Liberals hate Theocracy

  • @antipyrene hate is a strong word, more like "don't have time"! We just need to move forward as a country and the only thing holding us back is silly religious nut bags.

Abortion, Gays, Peace, Evolution, War, Witches, WMDs, Patriot Act, Hookers, Death Penalty, Molesting Children.... etc. we would all be cave men/ women if it were up to Theocracy!

  • @davejsmith Speaking for myself, hate is not too strong of a word...

  • You have to really take into consideration what the terms "Conservative" and "Liberal" mean. Conservatives want to conserve old values. Liberals want to liberate from them. MLK Was a liberal BECAUSE the "old values" at that time where RACISM. MLK Was ALSO a republican. The term "Conservative" has no direct connection to tax cuts for the rich, or something along that line. So, to say that Jesus was a liberal on that basis would be wrong. He was still liberal towards allot of Jewish authority.

  • @vulture97 There was such a thing as a liberal Republican back in the early 60s, and most blacks in the south were Republicans...it was only after the Voting Rights Act and Civil Rights Act in the mid 60s that the Republican party became the exclusive home of white plutocrats and theocrats

  • @antipyrene Things have shifted a bit over the years. The KKK was started by democrats, and is now carried on by republicans. Most people view the whole republican party like that though...

  • @vulture97 guess you don't know much about history if you don't know there ideas changed, and it wasn't started by democrats it was started by southerners who didn't like the troops and blacks, the blacks down there voting, the kkk was started to scare them off, because they sided with the good guys

  • I really want to be open minded but christian people are so stupid.

  • Jefferson rewrote the bible to contain only Jesus' moral teachings and none of his supernatural claims - which Jefferson did not believe and found ridiculous

  • Jefferson & Franklin were already thinking of a form of social security

They believed if a man died & his children had moved away then the government should seize his property for the poor

How would that 100% inheritance tax go over w/ the GOP today?

  • Amazing he picked JEFFERSON

Jefferson's father was often away & his mother wasnt motherly so he lived w/ 2 of the most learned & respected\ ministers in the area

He might have turned into a religious fanatic, but although he thought Jesus a great teacher he doubted the miracles & exluded them from his version of the

    BiBLE

jEFFERSON MAY HAVE HAD MUSLIM ANCESTOR & HAD A KORAN

He certainly wasnt a religious fanatic like this guy

  • Jesus' radical liberal positions:

    Anti-Wealth: Matthew 19:21

    Anti-War: Matthew 5:9,44

    Anti Death Penalty: Matthew 5:21

    Anti-Capitalism: Matthew 6:24, Luke 12:15

    Pro-Tax: Matthew 22:21

    Pro-Welfare: Luke 14:13-14

Jesus would be unelectable as a republican today, and is far too liberal to be elected as a Democrat

  • I would just like to point out that Jefferson was a Deist, not a Theist. This means he was not a Christian... These republicans like to pretend that just because someone is spiritual they are Christian...

  • jesus was a radical of his time, look at his context , if its true, he went agaisnt the mainstream religious powers at the time

  • Now I wouldn't say all liberals hate God. I think it is probably about 10% of liberals that don't hate God. But the other 90% percent of liberals, including the young turks, hate God almost as bad a Satan hates the human race.

  • @craigdb84 No, we don't hate gawd. We simply don't believe in such a childish thing. You can't hate something that doesn't exist. Do some of us hate the idea that such a fairy tail has such an influence on our country? Yes, absolutely. But I don't hat your version of gawd any more than the muslim version, the hindu version, or the tooth fairy.

  • @z0rsound Not the hating god part, but the idea of liberals not liking religion as much as conservitives is pretty close, at least for me.

  • well, of course athiests and libturds hate God, nothing new there. the religion for them is: euthanzia, abortion, global warming, Gia, the enviroment and blah blah blah. stupid shit like that. thats why they are whacked out nutjobs. pretty simple actually.

  • @uzimodem So then what about conservatives then? According to your logic, religion for them is: Discrimination, inequality, xenophobia, bigotry, racism, partiality, weapons, wars, popular works of fiction, and lies. stupid shit like that. thats why they are whacked out nutjobs. pretty simple actually. and since when is the enviornment "stupid"?

  • @grnbbllntrck : well, for a libturd that is your definition. pretty old talking points. conservatives stand for free speech, limited govt, personal accountability, less taxes, the right to govern your life, adhering to the Constitution (something you libturds REALLY hate) and the bill of rights. the environment? nothing wrong with that. except when whack jobs but nails in trees to prevent cutting, or telling people they cant cut trees on their land and so on. the list is endless of this BS.

  • @uzimodem u called me a libturd. twice! and i'm really sick of the same old incorrect conservashit talking points. our taxes are at historic lows. so congrats. you like less taxes. so does everyone else. limited gov? only in economic matters. right to govern your life? see limited gov. and adhering to the constitution? you guys ignore the "equal protection" clause in the 14th, want to change the 14th part about who is a citizen, and are bothred when anyone isn't christian.see the 1st amend.

  • @grnbbllntrck : you really have no clue about what your talking about. what does "christian" have to do with anything?LOL you cant even make an argument that makes any sense. pathetic.

  • @uzimodem can i borrow $500? Matthew 5:42

  • @Demockracy69 naw, dont think so. you might get it from a librturd who believes in re-distribution. Oh wait....no you wont. liberals like spending OTHER people's money, not there're own. Guess you are out of luck.

  • As an atheist, I couldn't give a shit less about what this clown thinks. It's just another ad hominem and appeal to authority by the right. Nothing new here.

  • Jefferson hates religion and I'm a Catholic liberal. I'm a liberal because I want to serve the people who believe in America. Jesus IS LIBERAL because he believed in serving the lowest among us, not the highest among us.

  • @Kooshkoff The ten commandments are a joke. The first five anyways, and the rest can be consolidated, and amended to make more sense. George Carlin illustrates that beautifully. But beyond those ten commandments are a whole whack of other laws, that Jesus fully supported. Which, as per my argument--that I am morally superior to Jesus--supports. Most people today are morally superior to Jesus. I'd be willing to bet you are too. There's no arrogance involved.

  • @Kooshkoff Oh, you cherry pick. My bad.

  • Jesus had long hair walked around in sandals with little care for money. He helped the sick (social medicine) and helped the poor (welfare social assistance). Jesus did not want tax breaks for the rich, and have an agenda of endless war.

  • @Kooshkoff Matthew 5:18-19 (OT laws must still be followed), Ephesians 6:9 (treat your slaves well)

Old testament laws binding forever Luke 16:17.

Don't get me wrong, for his time period Jesus was very progressive. But by todays standards . . . Yes, he taught love thy neighbor, help the poor, etc. Great stuff that. But the fact that he supported the disastrous laws of the OT does not make him the epitome of moral standings.

  • Love TYT, just got a slight issue with something that was said. The U.S. wasn't the first secular democratic state, technically ancient Athens under Cleisthenes established the first one thousands of years before America existed.

  • Jesus isnt political, Jesus didnt particapte in politics. Jesus isnt republican, Jesus isnt democrat. Jesus is Jesus

  • @xxdonaldqxxx. SCORES of times in the Bible we are told to care for the aliens in our land without requiring they conform to anything. We aren't supposed to treat them like shit and let them starve. No strings attached. I guess the golden rule must be a tough concept for you.

  • Yes! As a member of the religious left, I wholeheartedly agree. Don't forget how many times the Bible admonishes us to care for the aliens in our land.
