  • lol @1:38

  • while in japan this sweets is like an art and very high in price, in my country this food is usual cake, we are usually eat this in morning and its pretty cheap in here, its only half of a cent, japanese people bring this tradition to my country in 1945 when the colonial period

  • Japan has delectable sweets, and USA has krispy kreme doughnut burgers, and pot brownies

  • @xXxMoonLolitaxXx japan is very good at sweets, and you can't even get rice in the US that even tastes 'right' once you try rice in japan, but it is all about customs. Although the US is not so good as japan on those things, there are other things which the US does better, like cheese and bread :)

  • the incoherent voice is a bit annoying, but i like the video

  • Thank you for the video!!!)

  • Thank you for making this video, I have had wagashi once at a shop in NY. It was very interesting. I would love to try more

  • Please make more videos Kaz, this was fantastic!

  • Thank you!

  • i love japan... they treat and make everything into an art. everything they touch turns to gold! O_O

  • now lets see one about mars bars lol

  • Hey, who knows where I can buy Japanese (pink0 sweet rice. There may just be sweet rice that was dyed pink, but this girl in my 4th gr class made Jap pink sweet rice n it was soo good n im hungry so I wish I could just have some right now xD

  • Dango, I eat those for weeks

  • I like the original ("pre-missionaries") egg-free sugar-free and gluten-free recipes of Japanese sweets. They are the healthiest and, to my mind, far better, than the modern ones. I'm trying to find more of those ancient recipes.

  • Looks sooo good i want to go to japan!!!!!

  • It's a little hard to understand, but really good presentation. I'm trying to learn Japanese so i would probably sound the same. : )

  • i like their modern sweets more becuase it has morre of a sweet taste taste kinda lik american sweets but better and the textur is soft

  • Wonderful information!!!

  • I've always wanted to try this as I'm addicted to sweets which is why I'm going a SWEET COMPETITION on my channel at the moment.

If I could find these to buy or make them good enough I'd do a giveaway for that too! Thanks for the video upload. Yummy.

  • I keep watching this over and over, not just cuz Wagashi looks good, but because I love the sound of the first woman's voice. I could listen to her talk all day.

  • Great informative video ! :) Thanks!

I'm planning to prepare some daifuku with some of my friends and this video just informed me of so many other cool sweets i could try making ! Thanks!

  • i tasted Diafuku in a japanese restaurant in manhattan, and I thought that it was going to be the best thing in the world...but it was just a major disappointment. It tasted horrible, thats just my opinion tho.

  • Wagashi is supposed to be served with Japanese green tea which is bitter. If you just eat the Wagashi, you may find it too sweet.

  • The sweetness was fine, I just wasnt a fan of the beans that was in it.

  • Alot of wagashi do have azuki, thanks for full explanation :D

  • I really adore this video. I watch it over and over O_O

Thanks for such a nice explanation of wagashi!

  • mmm i want to eat all the food in japan!!! they all look so tasty and delicious!!!!

  • This video is so cute! Thank you for explaining wagashi.

  • Very beautiful and and tasty sweets!

  • Lovely video thank you so much for sharing <3

  • japanese sweets are soooo cute

  • so cte the cakes are

  • Now I wish I could find somewhere here where I live that I can get some of those!

  • You can find wagashi in most East Asian supermarkets.

  • yeah but taste is different and in those supermarket taste is very bad

  • Sure, the quality may not be the best but it is still acceptable :) After all, not all of us have access to Japanese bakeries or confectionary shops but more people have access to East Asian supermarkets. And of course, not everyone has access to East Asian supermarkets. In that case...they can pray for one :) :)

  • I ordered some online.....

  • @roboyagami Oh wow! Coolness. I am not sure they have one of those in Wisconsin but I will look.
