my friend was a roadie for them and had some funny stories like the bassist Pat was almost an olympic gymnast or something like that... maybe he was making it up...
Schlong and Rancid are what happened when Operation Ivy split up. I played with these guys and plaid Retina at Scuttles in Myrtle Beach S.C. around 95. Awesome band.
schlong! Yes! This was one of the great creative punk bands of the early 90's. Totally influenced by the Japanese noise scene and Steely Dan. I never got to see them but they helped me get into some other great sh*t
I do remember them. My old band Fuad Ramsey played with them a couple of times. They were cool guys and rocked hard. I asked them what their secret to playing drunk was and they said you have to practice drunk. We were also on the Sesame Street compilation or song was Batty Bat. Fuad Ramsey.
Grew up on this band, poop loops, punk side story, waxy yellow build up...fucking loved this band...

Beer, Steely Dan and Journey records (from thrift stores?), robotussin(?) and hardcore punk. Yes they help create good things!
