Couple of questions. is FL 10 really different than 9 (Will these tuts be detailed enough)?
and how many of these video's do you plan to make? I'm learning the ropes of both programs, I'm a little more accustom to not so intricate Music editors/creators.
@animeisart1 FL 10 isn't that different, the UI changes a bit, not in my favor actually, but waht are you gonna do, right?
anyways, there will be many more of these tuts, but they will come our irregularily and with long amounts of time inbetween, since they aren't one of my priorities and I covered the most important parts already.
Hi,Kentai-P.Greetings from Russia.I love your tuts, they are really helps me to learn(yeah,i am noobie and my dream is to create my own song...Okay,let it be Vocaloid song ^^).So,plz continue your Vocatuts,I am really waiting for the next one.And thanks for your hard job,of course.
@cgirl100 dunno why you removed this, but I'll answer anyways: to make a mixer-track that makes the target track sound as if it was coming through a LQ radio you have several options, which are best combined.
first off: what makes the 'radio' sound? it's the fact that certain frequencies are 'cut off' during the reception. those are the igh bands and the low bands.
To simulate just put in the 'parametric equalizer 2' plug in, the shiniy rainbow-colored one (I think it was 2) and lower...
@cgirl100 all bands but the '5th' band which should be around the mid and higher mid frequencies to the lowest possible setting and maby drag number 5 up a little. That already givees you a pretty nice radio-effect. in the presets of this plugin there are also 'radio' and 'old phone' presets you can use. Furthermore you can use the two small-radio presets of the multiband compressor plugin. I hope that helped.
And I don't really get the using-notes-outside the scale thing (why I'm too scared to write in minor keys)... why do you say H instead of B?
And... um... it would be nice to have a table of contents in the description, to go back and reference certain parts while we're writing songs. But whatever.
Thank you for this tutorial! I learned a lot of useful things.
@hinamoriforever I believe 'futta' would be correct. This video is six months old and I was a bit rusty with my japanese.
I say 'H' instead os 'B', because that's how we say it in Europe, specifically Germany in my case. I was always told, that that is due to an very early transcription error.
Anyway it's hard to let go of your habits, especially if you have trained them for many years. That is why for me the Scale is: C D E F G A H C ^^
@BGterrorist Ahh, that is JWPce, the most awesome japanese word editor there is :3 it can do about everything: dictionary, bushu and stroke lookup, writing in hiragana, shiftswitch to katakana and kanjirecognition as well as detailed information about kanji including some chinese and korean readings I believe. it's pure awesome ^-^ (and free!) just enter JWPce in google. You'll find it :3
Oh My God, Yeeeeesss!!! finally a good vocaloid tutorial, that lasts an hour. I cant stand watching tutorials part by part. I always wanted to know how to use vocaloid with FL studio. I have both programs but so far, vocaloid is the hardest to use, as for Fruity Loops, it's pretty easy after watching a few tutorials focused on the music genre you wish to compose. I never understood the other vocaloid+FL turorials very well. this one was very thorough. Thank you ^_^
Well, just to let you know I have cracked it on Sonar after following your helpful video. Thanks for sharing this as it helped me implement Vocaloid in Sonar... just mixing down a track with Prima on it now...
Really I suppose I got some british from school and a lot of american from many, many TV series. And from those of course different regions of america. It all sort of jumbeled together into a working accent. Kind of like Fry jumbeled together a random assortment of brainwaves into a working mind, if you catch my drift xD

Wouldn't 'furu' become 'futta'? /shot

I don't think I will have time to add a ToC, sry.
Kentai92 6 months ago
@Kentai92 Okay, I get it...
Yeah, a ToC would be really time-consuming to put together. If I ever feel like making one, I'll send you the timing.

how much does the vocaloid software cost? and how much do the singers cost?
MrScarab007 9 months ago
@MrScarab007 The software is included with every singer as far as I know and the singers cost around 200 bucks.
