Man, I wish somebody would post the entire scene for us! "Hold it, hold it I just completed my opening statement!" "MY CLIENT, THE HONORABLE HENRY T. FLEMING SHOULD GO RIGHT TO FUCKING JAIL...THE SON OF A BITCH!"
Al Pacino should have won an Academy Award for that one scene alone-He is one of the best actors alive today-I think he is under-rated and should be given an Academy Award for almost every movie he made
@curtisjones400 I remember my Mom telling me she was so disappointed he didn't win that year. Dustin Hoffman was good in Kramer vs Kramer but Al Pacino was unsurpassed in this category. He should've won. I think everyone else felt he should've won too.But...divorce was the category of the moment w/fathers raising kids. You have to wonder how of that factored into the voting. In any event he should've won.
@honeegrrl yes it is. i went to court the other day and could not stand the stuffy prick atmosphere that permeated. they treat everyone like fucking idiot just because we haven't all been to law school . they roll their eyes and scoff aand throw peoples lives away. it makes me sick.

I hope to do this one day in a real court...maybe I'll be fined for "contempt of court" but it'll definitely be worth it :)

@joe190 That's why it's a movie, if this actually happened, we wouldn't have any lawyers they would all be disbarred. Sad isn't it?
