I am not lying when I say I definitely would not have listened to the show live because firstly, I have never tuned in before and secondly, I hear it is terrible radio station. James purposely concocted his argument to evoke Frank, hence,he phoned. honestly, James benefited from this retaliation due to increased publicity (you wouldn't be watching it here otherwise). Believe me, I don't like saying this, but Frank intellectually preceded James. James trick ever, make 'em angry, get 'em talking.
BTW, if you believe frank (although smart) possesses genius intellect then James' intellect is preceded by u as well (THINK, it's the EXACT same scenario as this video).

Ok, in retrospect, i was a bit hyperbolic, but i'm pretty sure James did benefit from the argument. Obviously incidents such as this are fairly short-lived. If you read any couple of newspapers, i'd gaurantee the ubiquitous mention of this guy's name. Maybe he didn't do it deliberately, but trust me on this, he got more media coverage. Just look at other celebs who expose themselves to negative press, (eg x factor contestants).

I don't subscribe to 'any publicity is good publicity'. The fact that his name is being thrown around occassionally doesn't mean to say he has benefited. If his name does so happen to crop up in a newspaper I can assure you it's most probably in reference to this. Bad publicity.
James was formerly the editor of the Daily Express gossip column. Say's it all. And he even admitted that his only source for this attack on Lampard was a tabloid newspaper. A real intellectual.

In the nicest way possible, i'm sorry, i disagree. I could give you loads of anecdotes of negative publicity benefiting celebs. James runs a radio show, disputes from a superstar, make more people watch. Don't even bother to lie and say "I wouldn't have listened to the show live" because you would have (surely this remark is undisputable). I adore lampard and any english player, but more people watched, and more people stayed watching.
Bad publicity, good ratings. Fair?

Negative publicity does not benefit the individual. Hence, the word negative. Your profile may be raised because people are talking about you but if it is all negative then how is that beneficial? To be the laughing stock or a hate figure can only be a hinderance to a career.

I am not lying when I say I definitely would not have listened to the show live because firstly, I have never tuned in before and secondly, I hear it is terrible radio station. When I was informed me of Frank's phone-in I went to this very website, not LBC Radio 97.3. Ratings surely do not come into the equation. Without a doubt people searched his name on google or went to this website but to say he suddenly had a surge in ratings? No evidence to suggest that at all.
