You don't need to bleach your hair. I have hair red just like hers. But you dont need to bleach it. you just have to do a couple of steps to get there. First, dye it to a lighter brown than your hair color, if your hair is already light, then skip this. Wait a couple weeks or so, then dye it an intense auburn color. And put in a nice red semi permanent to give it that extra brightness. You will have to touch up on the semi permanent red hair dye every two weeks or so, but thats normal.

ok so i have red hair, and if you want ariana grandes bright red hair you will HAVE to bleach it (unless youd blonde). i do my hair at a marc anthony salon. also colour never stays on top of another colour.

my hair is ariana's color and i used a lorel redish auburn color and then i used red splat without bleaching it first, i just used the red and it came out really well :) my hair is naturally a medium brown :)

And also, I had the same problem when dying my hair red since my hair is naturally really dark. I suggest compromise and go for a red that's not as bright as Ariana's especially cos of your skin tone. Her type of red wouldn't suit you. But you could buy ares dye at Sally Beauty Supply that's formulated specifically for dark hair. It worked wonders for me and hopefully it will for you too so you dot have to sacrifice the wonderful health and shimmer of your hair and bleach it

The dye didn't take to your hair because your hair is so dark. If you want to get the color of Ariana's hair, you'll have to bleach your hair.

@NLTdance you can use just any light cream shadow and a dark matte brown. wet n wil has some awesome eyeshadows for three dollars. :) and you can get just cheap brushes at any drugstore. :)

@smiley061596 oh. haha i should have mentioned that. okay well she said my roots died brighter than the rest because it's color on natural hair,(as opposed to color on colored hair) and she said that the scalp emits heat so the dye gets hotter. so i should put dye on the bottom half of my hair for the like that process time then just do my roots for the remaining time. but PLEASE i haven't tried this yet, but thats waht she told me. hope it helps. :)
