  • wow no blood! i bled like a bitch this morning when i was getting cleaned..

  • Oh nice video thanks!

  • how do I find a microsonic operator in the St. Louis Area?

  • so , how much does usually cost to have my teeth cleaned with ultra sonic ?

    will it hurt ??

  • @leonidasgr2003 this technique is typically much more comfortable than the old, barbaric scraping that we used to do. The cost varies with the cost of a cleaning in any given office.

  • @leonidasgr2003 I just had this procedure done on me today. I'm an American who moved to Germany in January this year and had some trouble getting some German health insurance coverage, but finally got it last month under my husband's company. Anyway, I was due for my half-year cleaning in June, so the dentist in our village used this since I was overdue and had some plaque on my bottom middle teeth. It was quick, but a bit painful, and could taste blood in my mouth. But insurance paid 100%.

  • @SprecheDeutsch but i suppose it is faster and painless from the scratcing tool ... so its better i think

by the way , i have plaque at the same spots ...

  • @leonidasgr2003 Yeah, I can tell they feel very clean today and my gumline feels even stronger/firmer. Maybe the only reason I bled was because I hadn't had it done before and I was almost 3 months overdue for a regular cleaning.

  • are dentist suppose to give you anesthetics before this procedure?

  • @pugskreationz this instrument is typically used without local anesthetics. Sometimes patients prefer a topical anesthetic but not normally. For deep cleaning to treat gum disease, local anesthetic is commonly used.

  • @perieau and sonic toothbrush can not remove stains, plaque>???

  • @folladordeprostis sonic brushes seem to be able to reduce stain in SOME cases and they certainly do remove plaque but only where the bristles touch the tooth. You still need to be effective as there is no particular magic to "sonic".

  • This is cool I am about to enjoy deep cleanings ever three months which will help me improve my oral health

  • 72.000 views but only 17 likes :-))))

  • @RomneyPHONY

hello, i couldnt help notice you're asking about periogen

to tell you the truth it is the most amazing product i have ever tried

i saw a result in as little as 13 days, although it still did not dissolve any tartar it helped me cure gingivitis

to remove tartar you need to use it with a water pik, im going to buy one soon

  • @RomneyPHONY call around?

  • @RomneyPHONY more effective, more efficient, more comfortable, less repetitive stress risk. We prove the effectiveness endoscopically (Perioscope) every day and no longer use hand instruments (20 years now).

  • how can i get one of those?

  • @breehive where do you live?

  • @perieau

yeah but that doesnt explain why the tool costs over 500,000 dollars

  • @mercanaries3 if you spend over 500,000 dollars you can buy well over 5,000 of these "tools"...

  • @perieau

ur telling me each one costs $100?

  • @mercanaries3 oops, that would be about $800 for an ultrasonic unit (the ones we use). You can pay from $500-2500 for these ultrasonic units.

  • how can i get one of those?

  • Does it hurt the patient when using the ultrasonic?

  • @Mouselord96 not at all, i have mine done today , but if your teeth are sensetive, maybe you'll feel a bit discomfort..but this type of cleaning is a lot better than just scaling!

  • I don't feel like I've done a good job unless I finish every piezo scaling with a hand instrument for and reaching tight spots. That's just me I guess.

  • @thedarkone123123 that is just you and plenty others. What you don't realize is that subgingivally you are probably over instrumenting. We see endoscopically that hand instruments are not necessary.

  • @thedarkone123123 this method for cleaning appropriately applied is generally more comfortable than the barbaric scraping that is done with hand instruments.

  • i have hard plaque on my front teeth..does this work for hard plaque also??..If so, where do i get this done?? at dentist ??

  • @moviphilic this instrumentation cleans stain, plaque, thick sticky plaque, calcified bacteria or calculus. You have to go to the dentist to get this done. Don't try this at home!

  • @perieau : Thanks a lot for the info..

  • suction PLEASE...... weres the assistant

  • @alexluvpug there is no assistant, no I take that back. I position the patient and the saliva ejector (Mr. Thirsty) with a soft stop (foam muffler) properly and my "assistant" is Mr. Thirsty.

  • i wish i was a shark so i can lose a tooth then grow another one back:(

  • when i got this done it made a very high pith sound inn my head when they were doing my back teeth

  • does it hurt?

  • @somaemaeful appropriately applied this is the most comfortable cleaning method!

  • @somaemaeful no dude, doesnt hurt

  • well, the person is asleep while dentist does his procedure.

  • Im interested to find out, is that true that dentists in US are using total anesthetics for all dental procedures that require anesthetics ? Thanks

  • @Stefanthestar I really don't understand what you mean by "total anesthetics".

  • Just had this done, and it's amazing how clean it gets your teeth. However, it was uncomfortable and painful mainly due to the amount of tartar I had below the gumline and the weak gums I had.

  • After manual cleaning my teeth and gums were sore for a loooong time. But with this ultrasonic, I was totally fine the next day.

  • @youngThrashbarg where did you buy? how much does it cost?

  • @dooooooer Different country, different health system, so I had to pay only 20 euros for it.

  • @youngThrashbarg i am happy for you.

  • I bet this person chews tabaco or smokes.

  • how much does this cost?

  • cost to have this type of cleaning or cost for the equipment?

  • cost to get teeth cleaned at a dentist office..

  • The cost of getting you teeth cleaned with micro ultrasonic instrumentation should not be any different than with any other method except when done right it is way more comfortable, faster and more effective.

  • i dono how much the other methods cost either.. can u give me an estimate? is it gona be more than 500$?

  • getting you teeth cleaned in our area:

    $80-160

  • @perieau Do you do any surgery for black triangles, is it possible to grow bone there?

  • oh thaz not bad.. thank you

  • 25000 cycles per second is the frequency. Not very fast. Ultrasonic is any frequency greater than 20 000 Hz. Human hearing is between 20 and 20 000Hz . Ultrasonic is the name given to any sound which is out of our hearing range. Ultrasound is also used in SONAR. Because of the higher frequencies they are more penetrating due to higher energies. This is a simple application.

  • I just had this done to one of my upper left rear molars. The dentist stated she only used this for hard to reach places such as the rear upper molars. I have to say the results are fantastic! However, I did have a minor sensation of throbbing pain for only a few hours though. This was due to the area she was cleaning though. I am a very heavy coffee drinker, but my dentist keeps my teeth pearly white! :-D

  • how can it be 25K cycles per second. Highly unimaginable and impossible.

  • ? why? its piezo electric, all ultrasonics are in that range????

  • The tip is very small and moves in an elliptical motion. Would you believe that the tip of the bur in the "drill" moves at 300,000 RPM? It is very small and so RPM is relative. Idiot.

  • ok dickhead... it's what i felt after i heard it.. you dont have 2 be such a cunt about it!

  • ok, idiot is harsh. my bad.

  • I just had the same thing done. It doesn't hurt too much. You hear the very high pitch sound more then it "hurts".

  • i just got my teeth cleaned, they did not use this tool, and it hurts so bad for such a long time,

  • it hurt like hell when i got it done today

  • just had this done today. los angeles.

  • how much did it cost?

  • Do you think can I find this technology in my local dentists, or is it too advanced, only available at top clinics?

well I am planning to ask, my concern is that:

and do you think, asking dentist if they have this technology is insult (if they dont have) in US?

(I know its somewhat insult to ask doctors, dentists what they have in my country)

  • This is just an ultrasonic or cavitron- they've been around for decades. Every dental office has one, unless they are very primitive. There may still be some hand instrumentation involved- it depends on the preference of the person using the instrument.

  • I agree with red88m - if they don't have ultrasonic they should at the very least a sonic scaler.

  • I have found that ultrasonics tend to leave small pieces of calculus behind.I use the ultrasonic for heavy calculus and hard to reach areas, but I find manual scaling to be more productive in removing calculus.

  • I totally agree. Manual Scaling is by far more effective

  • can the average person buy this machine? how much does it cost?

  • Yes, the average dentist or hygienist can buy this machine....

"do not try this at home"

  • it doesnt seem risky.... but these things are expensive to the average person...am i right?

  • @perieau

Why not? Why shouldn't we 'try this at home'?

  • it was great for me and very easy. I am very happy with this way of cleaning my teeth. It didn't hurt and I had a permanent sensation of clean mouth.

    Yey!

  • I'm having this done tomorrow. I'll let you know what I think

  • they used this same thing on my nasty choppers. My teeth look awful these days.

  • Eliminate the use of hand scalers? A periodontist is saying that???? Come on now...you still need to plane it out smoothly under the gums...

  • Hand scalers are a thing of the past as is "planing". But don't believe me, read the research.

  • Root planing is definitely a thing of the past (unless the cementum is diseased). It's definitely not indicated for every patient these days.

  • does it hurt ???

  • Done properly this is the most comfortable way to have your teeth cleaned. Any method done improperly can be torture....

  • this also makes your teeth look whiter because it cleans the stains that are deeper than the normal brushing cleans, right?

  • Normal brushing does not remove stains. Micro ultrasonic cleaning does remove stains. They are not really "deeper" stains though and you teeth don't end up any whiter then they already are underneath the stains. Bleaching will make your teeth whiter.

  • I just had my teeth cleaned today. This is what they used!
