@porkyupine Not really. It was based off a play, which was based off a couple of school shootings that had happened around the time it was written, focusing especially on a massacre that had occured in Oregon. I forget the name of it....

@SowhaCjReturns it is. I think it's cool how he's in the video. This is such a great movie/play. I agree with you folks who say that this movie really hit home with you. It struck a key with me as well, although I was well out of school when it came out, It's always a shock and real sadness to see that school violence is very real and that it continues to happen. Never ceases to amaze me just how cruel people can be.

@izizful I can relate to this movie also. Not only at home, school and even after I got married. The scene where Trevor tests out the noose and falls off the chair...that was me when the domestic violence got too much to bare......luckily I'm still here to tell the tale. After watching so many times now Ive lost count.....the ending where he talks about 'taking back your name', still brings me to tears.

With all the bullying that goes on, not just in US, but here in OZ, I dont know why teachers havent shown this movie or downloaded the play. I would love to see it produced here in Brisbane. It makes me cry because I know the effects that bullying has on ones self worth. I hope more people watch this movie and learn from it.

This is a ebautiful song and a very moving music video, and it rings true every time I hear it. People forget what it's like after awhile, they don't take it seriously once they leave those school doors, no one remembers unless you were one of the victims.
