As a person from the midwest (Chicago house music), none of these videos are the perculator as I knew it or danced it in talent shows back in the day, and this butterfly movement of the legs is deft not part of the original dance.

umm phmilton07 I don't know how old you are but when the song came out in the late 80's early 90's that is not the dance... go to chi-town and they will show you how to do it.. if you go to Faab72 the first part of the video is how the REAL DANCE is done...

that is NOT the original perculator. Just like the hpyhe song or what ever, it's the old humpty dance, and ciara's 1,2 step is the old smurf, and the cupid shuffle is the old stomp. Only diff is that the young kids have totally re-made the perculator. Old school perculators were a lot closer to the ground, they did the splits, rocked back and forth and so on.

this old school house music track for people that don't know is by Cajmere called "Percolator". Done back in the early 90's.
