@enginelover1 Yes, that 2VSO is a fantastic machine. But I really like your motorized bicycle videos - everyone should be going to work on one of those! :)
@hanomagman Thanks very much, Jarno. I had it running again yesterday, and spent a bit more time adjusting the governor and fuel mixture - I got it tunning slower and more regularly, which sound great and stopped the bouncing issue! I've replaced the split water jacket cover gasket and am now just waiting for the new water drain tube to come out of my friends lathe. Thanks again.
@miserableoldcunt Getting there mate, like British Rail always said. Your advice throughout this project has been highly valued. Youre a mechanical goldmine.
@steamwally Hi there, thanks very much. Ive really enjoyed this first engine, and looking forward to the second. Its been a learning curve for sure, but an enjoyable one. She had a second run today (couldnt resist it) and it ran a lot smoother with a very slightly richer mixture. Thanks for your valued comment.
@Hanglands As soon as you've got that snapped stud out you'll be brewing up everyday. I love engines. I did two years as a (Spotty ) lawn mower mechanic when I was 16. Always had my cars and motor bikes engines out on the garage floor ( never worked again Ha ha ha). I want to see it next time I'm over mate.
I have a dream of owning a Wright Cyclone R-1820 Radial engine. Well done matski. Done a good job.
VERY VERY good mate. You need to sand paper the side of the flywheel. All the stationary engines looks nicer with polished flywheel. Also nice trolley.
@enginelover1 Hi yeah, I just wanted to keep the cosmetic stuff clean and simple. Though I agree, the shiny bare metal flywheels do look gorgeous. Ive learnt a lot on this first engine - and given it was destined for the scrapheap and bought as a non-runner, Im quite pleased. looking forward to getting stuck into the next one which is languishing at the back of the garage. Thanks a lot.
@mrstuart143 Hi, thanks for watching and commenting. Today, I've had it running at 800rpm which I think is within the 2.25hp range - I got it going a lot more regularly too (I think the run in this video was a bit too lean) so it wasnt quite so bouncy! Thanks again.
I wish I understood why this makes me smile so much. Beautiful.

All my engine came to me as a non runner from the big to the small one. Do you like my Rustons?

Very smart!
I would happily restore another Wolseley some time, they have to be the easiest engines to restore, such well thought out design.
This one looks very smart and sounds great, she's a real credit to you.
