I have found out, that all you really need to do to Find out Zone vs Man is to look at the Corner and WR's If you see some of them with nobody covering, it is ALWAYS Zone. There is no need to motion your Receiver every time, The only reason you would do that is to Clarify that it is Man or Zone. Man is pretty simple to figure out, it is the best Defense of the two, but in most Causes, Man Coverage always has at least 1 man covering the Receivers. No Need to Motion in either Case.

At 1:25, isn't that a variation of Cover 2? The Safeties immediately drop...

But then you show a Cover 2? That means either you didn't realize this was cover 2, or, I am mistaken and 1:25 isn't cover 2.

Someone want to clarify? I'm just learning defensive schemes.

@ajlepisto 1:25 was a variation of cover 3 with 2 purples, 1 yellow, and the right corner blitzing. The left corner drops back to cover the right side of the field and the two safeties cover the left and the middle.

@BFLmyfav yeah but with that a good offensive player could adapt there are only so many audibles you have before I can remember them. and audible to a base defense like man, cover2,3 is asking for trouble. Once you break down the exotic stuff you can dominate an opponent. The only thing that use to slow me down was press coverage with a blitz but even that is useless now that i've got use to madden trickery

I know how to do this method but, the only problem and which i dont understand would be what to do for each whether its zone or man. Tell me what to do also when they blitz and how to cover this easily, or how to read the MLB's

when its zone, have two recievers cross where you think the zone is. So a defender has to choose one to cover. Also, have them cross the middle of the field to expose holes. When they blitz u can either

a. let them and quickly find an open reciever

b. tell your backs/te's to block while only your recievers are running routes

Yeah, but sometimes the pumpfakes take too long and they end up in a sack if you pump fake on the wrong play. Thats just my observation.

no one can ever cover crossing routes, zones or not. The only way to shut it down is

a. if you are a defender and you jump it or

b. you don't let your reciever cross into an uncovered area between 2 defender. Sorry i don't have xbox but ps3. message me for more tips
