  • 1:00 HE GOT BITCH SLAPPED!

  • Comment removed

  • 1:17 for boom

  • Stop Motion + Robots = win

  • Even my old toaster doesn't make that much cranky noise.

  • Wasn't he a T-101? But then I thought he became and a T-800 in Terminator Salvation

  • @James1239170

In T2 his HUD reads Cyberdyne Systems Series 800 Model 101. 800 refers to the endoskeleton and 101 refers to the physical appearance. James Cameron has said that the Model 101s all look like Schwarzenegger, with a 102 looking like someone else. In T3, Schwarzenegger was a series 850 model 101 terminator.

  • I remember this scene creping me out as a kid.

  • 0:29

Full-size prop ABOUT TO FUCK SHIT UP!

  • 1:23 That damn arm!

  • To everyone saying how this scared them as a child, I'm right there with you! At first I was like "Oh cool! Guns, explosions, a cyborg" then it turned into "Oh god, when did this turn into machine skeletons from hell?" Such a great film and it's amazing just how well the effects hold up even today. Stan Winston was a master! I wish more effects were done practically. It just feels different from when it's all CGI-ed.

  • Funny that Reese goes against the T800 with a simple pipe......Due to the fact that the T800 could not run, I would have just ran away.........

  • Stop Motion FTW :D

  • I used to cover my eyes when I was little at the part where it comes out of the fire :)

    And 00:20 was horrible :D

    I love this movie!

  • Stan Winston's masterpiece. For me this is a sculpture. And one of the best ever.

  • @xXforza3 Whoa! It's so fast I didn't notice but when you see his face it's obviously not Michael biehn (the guy who played reese) Thanks for letting us know!

  • OMG! On the video I have, the part where they are getting into the room, it is obviouse that they are standing in front of a green screen, but in this clip, it looks like the terminator is actually there

  • My first Rated R Film and it scared me.

  • Jeez, the T-800s have a real temper after being hit in the head around 8 times by a METAL bar.

  • Pause @ 0:53 to see a part of the T-800's "scull holder" get knocked off.

    Bless.

  • anyone else watch this when they were little and shit themselves coz they thought it was real? pre panicking when he was chasing them and then banging on the door.

  • @thefunnystuffplease Yeah, u r so right.. remember watching this as a kid and get scared as hell..

  • This is like a Ray Harryhausen monster movement

  • Thankfully it's not, but if this were done by George Lucas, he would have re-released this film with CGI, replacing the brilliant stop motion animation!

  • stop motion robot = scarier than 60 fps robot

  • That scene haunted my dreams back in the 80s...

  • T800.GIF LOL

  • Transformers VS Terminators...

  • @XRaCeProX this is actuallt the T-101 (:

  • whats stop motion about?

  • @1234holdsworth Moving a minature "doll" frame by frame using a camera. I hope i been clear enough.

  • @xXforza3 nice find!

  • looks great for a movie that's over 25 years old with a shoestring budget.

  • Ah! Such finesse! I miss those days when movie monsters were stop motion and animatronics. Today, everything is ridiculously-smooth CGS (computer generated shit).

  • This movement is better?

You guys must go live in a world where they only show 80's movies.

With monsters/robots moving towards the characters like this.

Really scary yea, if you where born in the 80's

Looks kinda stupid for 2011 if you ask me, lets be realistic.

  • @xxjonkoxx Don't be silly. This thing looks more realistic than CGI crap in 2011.

  • @JimboGrinbo

I can put down lots of movies which have great CGI.

You might not like it, but CGI can be brilliantly done, Avatar is an example, Beowolf is another.

But you probably dont like those movies if you think CGI is crap.

  • @xxjonkoxx Beowolf is great, hm...movie and it has good CGI, but this CGI don't look realistic. Avatar, yeah. But it's James Cameron. He made tech-revolution in Terminator. so in Avatar.

Jurassic Park still look awesome. However, real-life mechanic looks more realistic and gain some respect.

  • @JimboGrinbo

I like real-life mechanic, and I like how the terminator looks realistic even in the first movie.

Just look at alien, I think the first movie also started on real-life mechanic for the alien.

And alien 1 is still one of the most realistic monster movies I've ever seen.

  • @xxjonkoxx So let's finish where we started. Real-life mechanics better than CGI.

  • @JimboGrinbo

You have been missing what I said I think.

You see the terminator walk as an exo-skeloton in this movie.

It's obviously looks old and rusty when it walks, It's not like that in the newer terminators.

You want that walk in any other movie in 2011? I dont, doesn't look realistic if you ask me.

real-life mechanic works for certain movies, and same goes for CGI.

I never said CGI is better you know, I just dont think it's crap like you call it.

  • @xxjonkoxx It does not look old and rusty at all. The limp is due to damage done by a truck hitting it and his leg got caught and bent. The 80's was when movies had heart. When nothing was really made for money. This lasted throught the 90's to 2006 then halloween was remade for money and then movies went to shit. But yes, this T-800 model does not look "old" or "rusty" Stopmotion in its prime I believe. But I prefer old movies because they are so much more real with special effects.

  • @xxjonkoxx your opinion is shit. Never comment again.

  • @786myfist

Ahaha, sexual frustrated homo, thats what you are.

  • @xxjonkoxx fail.

  • @786myfist

    ahaha, what a nerd!

  • @xxjonkoxx fail.

  • @xxjonkoxx : For you maybe. If you watched this in '84 at the movie theatre during the cold war it had also a more realistic sense.

It's about the time area you lived in when you saw this !

But still the movie is great after 27 years !

  • @8bennugent It looks far more intimidating like this. Smooth movement looks boring.

  • at 1:00 you see that the T800 was designed to have a strong pimp hand

  • Экранизация Библии епт

  • puncture a t 800's hydraulic reservoir to easily incapacitate it

  • @UniteForgetLeftRight ok, thx. will keep that in mind next time i get chased by one.

  • @XRaCeProX nice comeback dude haha lmao

  • @XRaCeProX One stole my sandwich on the way to work today! They can be really mean! ;)

  • I think they used three different types of ways to animate it. Stop motion animations of a fullsize skelleton, a upper torso that some guy is carrying and a close up detailed model for eye animations and things.

  • I love stop motion effects especially in Terminator and Robocop movies.

BTW.Ed-209 in Robocop or T-800 in Terminator looks very scary and awesome.

    Hail 80's!

  • @8bennugent Its completely possible that they did not do that on purpose. In order to make the 1800 look more machine like.

  • @MrXTGZX Shutter speed is the amount of time each frame is exposed. The higher the shutter speed the less motion blur there is in each clip. The reason why stop-motion looks not very smooth is because each time a picture is taken the object is still. Having a high shutter speed gives the same effect. there for if it was recorded at a higher shutter speed it would be more flush with the other footage. Im pretty sure that higher shutter speeds where possible back then.

  • The T-800 looks SO much scarier here then in the next movies.

I don't know why, I guess maybe the dark lighting and glowing red eyes makes it scarier looking.... not to mention the way it walks.

  • Fucking scary.....

  • @8bennugent Too bad they didn't ask you for advice back in the 80's!!

  • @XRaCeProX lol

  • @XRaCeProX I think the main problem was time and budget constraints

  • Can you post the full climax?

  • @horaciosi it's too long and a bit boring, u won't like it. I promise.

  • @horaciosi it's too long and a bit boring, u won't like it. I promise.

  • I saw it a few days ago....and i like it.

  • Here I see that close contact with T800 is deadly, not as in salvation seen.

  • the first terminator was a t-600

  • @CURT976 No fuck u

  • Actually this endoskelton here is by FAR scarier then the Endos in T2, T3 and TS. The stop-motion makes it menacing. Easily the best.

  • people don't forgot the movie is from 1984, i think they made good job with the movie efects, thats was the best, they can do, and anyway the movie is good, good storyline, good actors, is normal the efects these days look like shit, in that time they dont have power pcs do made efects.

  • The terminator reminds me of the Revenant from Doom.

  • @1xWertzui whats a revenant again? i forgot what it looks like. XD

  • The moment at 0:18 ...I will never forget this as a kid. I was scared out of my mind.

  • They filmed the movements in a green room

notice when it get's up that the background looks non realistic and

when chasing in the factory at 0:07 the movement looks like it's in a green room

    it's pretty effective

  • @XxImpactXGreatest I THINK YOU FORGET THIS FILM WAS 1984 WITH ANIMATRONICS AND DUMMYS THE DID NOT HAVE THE HIGH TECH WE HAVE NOW

  • when i was like 10 there the robot shittied me but when swartzenegger i was like cool cool now i was like i was such a sissy .The walking animations and noises still freak me out

  • Wow This movement's really crappy....

  • Me too, as a kid I used have nighmares about this ending scene. Now I collect endoskulls lol.

  • Ah, the beauty of stop motion! I soooo wish they used this more often now. Its so much better at having the monster/robot look creepier. Fuck CGI.

  • @AUSROTTENY2K I agree with you 100% Thought it was ME that was getting too old,, fuck ALL these so called "sci fi" movies today,, much more creativity with the older movies, and stop motion anime

  • @intromix Absolutely. But I must say when that channel was known as "Sci Fi" it was good. But right when the name turned into "Sy Fy" that's when they stopped showing classics like Re-Animator and started giving us shit like Mega Shark VS Giant Octopus lol

  • @AUSROTTENY2K I wish I could do that cool stop motion..

  • 1:00 Pimp Slap!

  • cmon' motherfucker

  • i was like 6 when i first saw this, i had night mares for days , and hella scared of the dark..

  • i was 9 or 10 when i saw this and building a real machine like this that could replicate the exact movements of a human became my ambition, and people dont realize that making a robot with the skeletal structure of a human is the most effective

  • I love this movie as much as the next person but I absolutely hate the stop motion. The rest of the movie looks so good and then this scene happens. In fact i'd say this is the only thing I dislike about the film.

  • I love how the Terminator limps in stop-motion. Everytime my leg hurts, I just walk like that yelling "I AM THE TERMINATOR!" :P

  • michael biehn is awesome. too bad he didn't star in my movies like this

  • I remember when I first saw this movie many years ago, adn then I made one of my friends see it. When he had, he said "It was good, but I din't like when he lost the skin and walked all funny, you could tell it wasn't real". And I was like "DUH! The Terminator was damaged, of course he walked a little wobbly!" Haha, the way you have to defend your favourite things as a kid :P

  • pimp hand is strong.

  • I thought it was a T101 :P

  • @Cresitan258 Well in the first two Terminator movies they never call it a T-101 or a T-800, they called it "Cyberdyne Systems model 101" and he did say that there were obsolete Terminator called the 600 series who had rubber skin so everyone assumes that the Terminator was a T-800. It wasn't until Terminator 3 they called it a T-101 and Terminator Salvation that called it a T-800, but I don't count those two movies, only 1 and 2 exist.

  • @WeylandYutaniInc91 well with Terminator 3, I had no problems with the movie, but Salvation..I CALL BULL SHIT

  • @Cresitan258 Terminator 3 was bull shit. 3 destroyed the purpose of Terminator 2, Miles Dyson killing himself, destroying Cyberdyne, and most of all, and I mean most of all, the Terminator sacrificing himself all to stop Judgement Day, all of that was all for shit because of Terminator 3, what was the point of stopping Judgement Day if it was going to happen anyway!

And FYI, I liked Salvation, I just don't include it. T3 sucks bull shit.

  • @WeylandYutaniInc91 dude, Salvation ENTIRELY ruined the story line..for one thing, they say that Judgement day would occur in 2018 and in T3 it ALREADY occured in 2003(or 2004, can't remember) but the Sarah Connor Chronicles already contradicts T3 in so many ways, and without the Sarah Connor Chronicles T3 woulds till contradict Salvation entirely. Plus in Salvation, APPARENTLY the T-101 or whatever is made in 2018 when I read somewhere that it's creation occured around 2023 :|

  • @Cresitan258 No, T3 ruined Terminator way before Salvation was even conceived.

J-Day didn't happen in 2018 it happened in 2003, Salvation took place 15 years after T3, duh! And Sarah Connor Chronicles and T3 and Salvation aren't even connected, SCC took place after T2 and ignored 3 and 4, again, duh! And T4 took place in an alternate timeline that's why they were built early, duh!

And Kyle came from the year 2027 and said "These are new" which means they probably weren't created until 2027.

  • @Cresitan258 Like I said, T3 and Salvation don't exist to, 3 ruined Terminator, I don't care if Schwarzenegger was in it, it sucked and it should never have been made. Even James Cameron says that the series ended with T2, the rest don't exist.

  • @WeylandYutaniInc91 but I could've sworn I saw Arnold in like a minute of terminator Salvation

  • @WeylandYutaniInc91 well that's what i'm saying is that it occured in 2003 but salvation says it was 2018 but w/e, let's stop this argument and say you win,lol

  • @Cresitan258 No it didn't, they never said Judgement Day happened in 2018, Judgement Day happened in 2003, 2018 was the year the movie was set not the year Judgement Day happened. In the movie Marcus asked "What day is it? What year?" and Kyle said "2018", that was the year of the movie. See?

Listen carefully, Terminator was set in 1984, then T2 took place 10 years later in 1994, then T3 9 years later in 2003, then Salvation 15 years later in 2018. Or if your like me, T3 and T4 never happened.

  • @WeylandYutaniInc91 my knowledge of Salvation is based on other people's words, the script, and the trailer :|

  • @Cresitan258 I don't know where you heard that J-Day happened in 2018 but that is wrong, 2018 is when the movie is set, not when J-Day happened, did you even see the movie?

Like I said, if you acknowledge T3 and Salvation, which I don't, Judgement Day happens in 2003 then Salvation takes us 15 years later in the year 2018 after Judgement Day. See now?

We shouldn't even be having this conversation because T3 and Salvation don't count in my book, Terminator ended with T2, the rest don't exist.

  • @WeylandYutaniInc91 did you not read what I just said? look, let's end the argument here, you win, blah blah blah etc.

  • @Cresitan258 I found out when they called it a T-800, it was the Terminator 2 script when Cameron first called them Terminator 800 series, or T-800 for short.

    Just letting you know.

  • This clip would've been absolutely PERFECT had you included the cyborg's bone-chilling RISE FROM THE FLAMES. That's what I'm looking for!

  • man this scene always freaks me out....so creepy

  • funniest shit iv ever seen

  • Tbh alot of of these scenes are 10x better than CGI. If only theyd do stop motion with the technology of today.... =(

  • It is not stop-motion or whatever. It is just the effect of the radiation from the time machine :) T1 is a perfect movie

  • ooh i love this cartoon.

  • i think its the glowing red eyes and the teeth in a human shaped skull that makes it scary, the T800 is hands down the creepiest looking robot (skinless) skynet made

  • right before the terminator blew up, kyle should have said yippi ki yay mother F*cker

  • I remember hiding behind the sofa as a little kid and now im 45 and i still jump and dive behind the sofa especially at 0:21 AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH

  • i believe what is truelly scary is the slowness of it. In the newer films they are fast and also reacte faster this one looks like its on crack. look he lets him put the dynamite on hime its really slow.

  • it took me a long time to notice that after Kyle blew the Terminator up that Sarah had a piece of Terminator stuck in her leg

  • I remember how realistic and cool this looked when I first saw the movie.

  • i love the movie mistake at the start where she screams "NOOOO" but her mouth isnt even moving

  • i love how fake it seems now but when this movie first came out i thought it was one of the most realistic scenes ive ever saw

  • my favourite scene, its a very old movie, but better the terminator 3 or 4 , i like the old films

  • STOP MOTION FOR THE WIN!!!1!

  • 0:52 is you stop a t that you could see the neck broken I think it was a error

    the robot broke at 0:52

  • it wasn't the T-800 it was the T-100 series

  • @gadgetboy1234 i was wondering the same

  • @gadgetboy1234 No, its a Series T-800 model 101.

  • the way the terminator moves is so scary

  • lol at 0:20 its totally greenscreened.

  • I loved this scene especially wen I was 4 I loved creepy robots and I still do I'm 15 1/2 now.

  • Great Figure. Bad Movement. I think it's a stop motion?! Or Remote control I'm not sure maybe both why not....

  • what was great about this one is that he acts more like a robot like that one scene where that tenant asks him what the smell is and you doesn't just talk to him but he selects 1 of the six sentences he saved in his memory with the reply "Fuck you, asshole"

  • I love how cheezy it is!! lol its so funny!!

  • as lame as i consider the stop-motion today, when i was a kid this scene scared the shit out of me ^^ :))

  • looks real at 1:13

  • if they were desgined in 1984 why wait to luanch them like they were launced in the fiuture 2018

  • also the t 800 in the first scene had its hand in the pimpand took out the heart isrt secene

  • usally when its arnold who plays as a endo skeleton its usally t 850or was that in t 2

  • t800 pimp hand is strong

  • This scene use to freak me out when i was a kid and it would scare the shit out of me if i was in that situation.

  • NICEEEEE !

  • lmfao I remember when I saw this movie like 13 years ago... Scared the shit outta me at the time.

  • The T-800 series were originally designed in 1984, but Is it just me or this cyborg is still as cool as it's designed right now?

  • @raykrislianggi Cybernetic Organism =D

  • 1:01 kung fu chop... in ya face!!!

  • @tufert 1:00 :P

  • Some could say that the one problem with stop motion is that it makes the model buckle a bit and move rather robotically. With some things like Pegasus's flying in the original Cash of the Titans that was my only problem with it. But knowing this is a robot that is more used to walking in latex skin and after taking damage it's just perfect. The stop-motion in Clash of the Titans is awesome too btw just noticed that Pegasus moved a bit odd in the air. Regardless though it massacres CGI anyday.

  • stop-motion at it's finest

  • A pipe bomb just that!!! no more laser or what?

  • I also saw this 5 or 6 at my aunt's house but it was more scary for me because I had a fever and when I saw that metal skeleton walk out of the fire, I was not the same.

    Oh god...

  • man first time i saw this, i think i was like 11 or 12 or something but hell i was scared o.O and now im 17 and now its not that scary anymore XD

  • @zyriuz2 Same, I was like 5 or something, very scared. Probably bcoz the movements were so robotic and the robot looks creepy aswell.

  • @XRaCeProX man its a five feet tall metal skeleton , you have to be scared !

  • @XRaCeProX animatronic movements can instill a terrifying fear within us because the movements are are impossibly in-human. i was also 5 when i saw this movie and the scene in the dark hallway just before sarah shut the door scared me a lot.

  • @zyriuz2 yeah same here .. i was like 7 or 8 years old.. and i still remember this scene watched through my fingers

  • @zyriuz2 me too,the robot look got me so scared

  • @6425gorda yeah, the robotic movements and the red eyes is really scary, and the robot moves very threatening towards them up the stairs, this scene always make me look extra careful in the dark so there is no red glowing eyes looking at me.

  • @zyriuz2 i watched this movie, and he looked like the robot's dead and he just got alive again and grabbed Sarah by her leg

,that suprise thing scared me the most.

  • @zyriuz2

    I was also scared,when I way very young.1-his face,2-the movement.

  • @akotarakz he he yeah its a very scary scene indeed not only cuz of all the robotic movements and the red glowing eyes, but hes always up to their heels and hes closing in on sarah and kyle, and what really made me jump as a kid was when you thought he got blown to death and he suddenly tries to grab her. well its a very good scene ^.^

  • gladizh ,It's part of the first terminator movie,he didn't animate it.but it is high quality.:)

  • i saw EVERY terminator movie(that's currently made)i saw 1,2,3,and 4.he didn't die after his leg s blew off.he had his arms and crawled after Sarah Connor.Sarah Connor's leg was bleeding,so she crawled too and went to a control board of a hydrolic press.and the Terminator, which was a T-800 was caught and CRUSHED in the hydrolic press.

  • mcdom89,it's a T-800,Infiltraitor Unit 101.

  • inche robot way! :k

  • I thought I heard a long time ago that those robots were really made for the movie and were remote controlled. So that's all fake?

  • No, some are made in stop motion, others are just dummies or animatronics, you can tell the differance when you see only parts of the T-800 or the whole body.

  • This scene used to scare the shit out of me as a kid. There's just something really creepy about stop-motion.
