  • You know what cargo pilots love about their job that airline pilots don't...besides the HUGE payscale difference (boxes pay way more for a "seat" than a pax)

    Boxes don't complain.

  • nice /not

  • in the kid sitting next to me's words at 1:10 "that's unfortunate"

  • wow

  • There was a crosswind but it was well within the safe limits. This accident was caused mostly by pilot error, specifically the first officer who didn't slow the plane enough for a good landing and wasn't properly lined up. The crosswind did contibute though by causing the right wing to be a bit lower which is why the right landing gear was stressed beyond its design limits.

  • As an instructor I thought the crew did a pretty good job of correcting the cross wind. I think the only issue was the hard touchdown. In my opinion the FO click out the crab way too high though. I suspect he saw he was losing his cross wind correction because of this and wanted to get the wheels on the ground to correct it. As a result, insufficient flare and a hard landing on the gear.

  • whoa major crosswind!

  • Yeah this wasnt bad at all....Landing gear collapses are part of every airline's simulator training...Nice job by the crew to keep it on the runway

    No fatalities thankfully!!

  • you prob wanted a crash and fire huh....psycho a**hole

  • Um... it was a crash and it did burn

  • man that was a horrific crash

  • should of used only rudder to straiten out. It would work unless there was a strong wind I'd use the stick then.

  • should have applied more rudder imput at touchdown, once gera has enough pressure on it the rudder imput should have straightened the path of the aircraft,he want using ailerons instead

  • it was a "she" as I recall.

  • hey atenco01, are you a pilot?

    i'll assume you're not.

...in which case, shut your fucking mouth. you probably would have put the thing straight into a lake had you been at the controls. Think before you speak.

  • There was no lake to put it in. The nearest lake had been drained before the crash happened. and the final for that runway doesn't take one over any other bodies of water.

  • nice crosswind technique on short final... put in some right rudder and maybe that plane stays in one piece

  • With that kind of correction input he either had a very stiff crosswind or did he lose a hydraulic system?

  • awesome

  • go and quote some more movies tool bag

  • What happened? did the landing gear collapes from a hard landing?

  • lol

  • hmm very interseting thanks for puttn on, i wana be a pilot for fedex
