  • Yes, spinning (one of the behaviors they call ") is a sign. Keep in mind, though, a certain amount of it is normal for any kid. It is that completely zoned out, excessive repetitive behavior you wanna look out for.

  • Three years later, Aaron is a totally different kid. ABA, Physical therapy, OT, Speech - he will go to an integrated kindergarten in the fall of '10!

  • @MimiJackson1 is this a common sign of autism? the little boy I've been babysitting several days a week for a year now does this, and only this, with toys with wheels. he's shown other signs, but we've never thought to mention the wheel spinning to the doctor.

  • As an update - Aaron is almost three now, and spinning has just about stopped entirely. He does very little stimming of any kind nowadays. I attribute it to his intense therapy schedule, and a gluten-free diet.
