i have purchased imac g5 and got it on craigslist,they did not tell me the administration password 2 it.i do not have any disc or anything, what should i do?anyone?

i followed all your steps and i click on the mac osx cd after holding down alt but the cd never boots up... i hear the disk spinning and all of a sudden it just stop and im stuck on the white screen with the apple logo help!!!

no i dont think you can use an installation disk from another computer for something different.

It should. I used my friends disk and used it on my mac. The installation disks dont have serial numbers or anything that you need to type in, so it should work

But i guess studio, programs such as photoshop, flash, etc... Just alot of big programs.

lol yah i was online when u sent the msg, and well yes and no u can install a dual boot or use vmware fuzion to run windows and play games if u like unsure what it can handle though.. basically all i can say u can do stuff on mac that windows can do + more.. windows cant run mac but make can run windows and mac and alot of other OS's

macs are so powerful. Especially the mac pro. and i always see so many people with macs and they are allways powerfull. yet i really want a gaming computer at the same time. so i might go with a gaming pc or something. but the imac is pretty kl

if u need detailed information you can ask someone at an apple store "if you have one" or any place that sells macs and ask them can it handle a pc game if you do a dual boot or whatever you choose becaus eyou want both a power computer/mac and a gaming computer

i was looking for my original CDs for my macbook (tiger), but i couldn't find it. However, I do have the CDs for my iMac (leopard). Would it still work? Or would it mess my computer up?? Thanks!
