I use a totally different (and probably inferior) strat to your ones. I use the Spear to launch a Nymph, causing it to fall on the ground. Then I use a ground grab to finish it off.
I used to do a combination of things. When I was creating these strats, that was one angle of many I tried. It asked for too much Natural Skil across the whole of the fight so I had to try other ways.
I used to use a combination of things. At one point what you were doing was an angle I had been exploring but abandoned as it asked for more Natural Skill then I had.
I tend to not actually know what I'm going to be doing going into these fights where I create overall strats..it sort of sit their for minutes/hours to create new ones as I go.
Despite having obviously cleared these fights before *and well no less*..it irks me that I can't recall notes/strats I've used in the past if I don't write them down or in these cases..record them.
So if I don't jot what I learn down as I go..there is a serious possibility that I will forget what I've learned until the next time I handle an area.
Heh, these are both of my old strategies as well. I always used Fight up until GK:TM:NUR, then I taught myself the Flight method.
Mine deviates a bit, though, in that I tried to avoid that vulnerable 6-9 o' clock area by moving towards its edge, then quickly turning back and forcing the camera off of the enemies (thus halting their attacks). A bit more complicated, but it worked for me.
You used FIGHT too? That is a far harder path to walk then FLIGHT. I can see how that would end with the GK:TM:NUR.
I don't mind the opening because I am quite familiar with how that area works and better yet..rolls do well to negate hits by those little punks..not that they hurt a whole lot anyways.
FLIGHT is indeed the easier/wiser of the two to use. VERY little risk when you know it properly. It is easy to slip up in FIGHT.
Shinobier had the proper way to defeat these guys down for FIGHT but didn't have it down to a science..patterns work better then having to react to each as it appears off-screen <_<
You felt N.I.B. fit did you? It semi-fit to me. I generally would go with a silly song for such a fight but couldn't think of one for this occassion and I knew of no time I could use it later..plus..the line, "Your love for me has just got to be real." was great for an intro.
N.I.B. was the middle ground between SRS and LULZ in this case.
I actually considered "You Spin Me" but I believe I used it before at some point and It wouldn't have worked well with the FIGHT method I'd imagine. I'll have to look through a few vids to see where I used it IF I did.
Not wanting to sound scary or stalkerish but you used it in a vid abou alt OH techniques. I beleive the burger king and a silly noise were involved. Now I do sound stalkerish. But I don't mean to. If I meant to it would be scarier. Like this.
They aren't technically glitches..just strats exploiting the fight as it is. Using the camera to lure Nymphs isn't useful very often. Running Away to fight later also doesn't work well often that I can recall.
Your videos never fail to impress me. My GK:TM:NUR here is hell. If only i could see this earlier. Bet you must have spent alot of time and efforts in making this. Nice!
FLIGHT was easy to create once I gave the idea a "green light". FIGHT was the one that took a while to get down because it really does ask that you do as I do or risk lots of random, unwanted possibilities.
~What's funny to me is that I generally just create a new method for each section as I go in the GK:TM:NUR..I don't have great strats that I just keep to myself. Once I figure what is working..I try to get it down to a science and record it.
WRRRRRRRYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!! Indeed.

If I had an existing way that worked fairly well, I'll try to get it down to a science.
FLIGHT is basically taking advantage of when respawns stop in context to the revealing of the block as well as how slow those Nymphs are.
FIGHT is all about adhering to spawn location/patterns. If it was random, I couldn't have done it.

Hmmm. The only silly song I could think of is that "spin me right-round baby right-round like a record baby right round round round" song (dunno)
Good serious choice-wicked TUNES.

Helpful. Will use flight.

Good call. FIGHT takes near perfection of what I do and recquires memorization.

nice I've never heard of either of these glitches but they're pretty good. Have fun with the next one.

Haha the flight method was cheekier than I thought. Cat and mouse those stupid nymphs.
Nice fight method too. Air grab collisions on harpies/nymphs are devastating.
I often don't know the songs in your videos but they usually fit your style of play, as did this one.
