  • Thank you so much for this video!!! At first I was skeptical, but I kept playing around with it and finally found that sweet spot. So pumped I can finally listen to music in peace again! :)

  • thanks man. saved me and my friends zune.

  • thanks i used an old gift card and cut a piece off ur awesome!

  • Oh wow it worked! I thought for sure I was either gonna have to buy another Zune or get down to some nitty gritty replacing the jack.

    Thanks

  • Thanks for the help,MacGyver. You saved a random, helpless feeling from feeling my wrath due to a bad headphone jack!

  • @TOOOOOxFADED Totally, I surprised myself with how easy the fix is. It probably would have made a lot of people buy new ones when theirs can work perfectly normal. I did some math, if 4k of the 4239 viewers of this video would have bought a new MP3 player at 200$ a pop (which is a pretty cheap mp3 player price), it would have accumulated to $800,000!!! All of that money that could have been saved for a crappy bread clip on a dollar loaf, my mind is just blown.

  • @ScottElwood32

Now THAT is mind blowing! you also have to take into account the people that would have actually paid to get it fixed professionally. I fixed a few Sansa Clips with:tape, lined paper,a rubber band, and a rubber band used for braces. It's scary fiddling with $200 equipment though.

  • This solution worked great. I used the plastic clip from a bag of bread. Thanks for sharing this.

  • Worked great, thank you so much for saving my zune!

  • Question: what can you use besides a guitar pick?

  • @demonwolfie Someone said they used the small clip that comes on bags of bread. Really anything that is plastic and thin will work.

  • Thank you this works perfectly!

  • Hahahaha I used a bread bag clip, it works lmao.

  • I finally found a use for one of my old guitar picks.

    Thanks a lot!

  • YOU ARE AMAZING!!!! I was coming in from kayaking and turned over -I was a little too forceful trying to save my zune from drowning and I messed up the headphone jack. I did this tonight using some plastic folder and it worked great, thanks.

  • Thanks!

  • Assume* damn phone keyboard

  • Oops. @guitar7ify, i wish i could say yes but i have no idea. i would asuke no but hey, when i tried this my warranty was up so i had nothing to lose in playong with the insides. You could always test it out.

  • will this work for the kin 2 phone as well?

  • "I don't know the electronics of it, I don't know WHY this works..."

roflcopter! thanks though! i've got it popped open and i think i'm just going to solder something in

  • Thanks so much, my headphone jack only worked on the right side and i looked up parts and did videos and saw this and helped me out so much, now i don't have to buy a part or switch to a different Zune.

  • Dude, thank you SOOO much! I was JUST about to spend 250 bucks for a new zune... I make only like 120 bucks a week so that's a big chunk of money for me, thanks!!!! You rock!

  • Thank u sooooo much! This was a lifesaver! I really didn't wanna replace my zune even though I had it since 2006...it still has room =)

  • I love you. (no homo)

  • I had the same Problem w. my zune for the past few months. Your vid. def. helped but once i had it open putting something inbetween the jack and metal didn't really help. I did notice though, that there are little metal tab like punchouts on the left side of the jack and pushing on them made my audio come in both buds. So I just took my screwdriver and pushed them in further and I havent had a problem so far..Hope it helps. Great vid.

  • @jtownpoolsurfer Thanks for the input!

  • Oh my goodness, I love you!!! Thanks soo much!! Now on the bus I can stop being selfish with my Zune and can now share it with someone else, now that both headphones work!! :) You just saved me grief! :) (I didn't have a guitar pick handy, so I folded a teeny piece of cardstock paper in half and shoved it in there!! :]) Thanks a million!!

  • thank SO much for posting this :]

sadly though mine was harder to fix. i had to use a toothpick and jam it in between the green thing and the front of the zune. but thanks for showing me how to open it and suchness :] you saved my zune from being thrown at the wall

  • I LOVE YOU.

  • THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! you just saved me $100. the audio problem was really irritating me and I was going to get a new zune this week. but figured I would see what youtube had to say first. you rule. you are my hero!!!

  • Thanks a ton dude! I was looking everywhere for help. I had the exact same problem!

  • this helped a lot . thanx man

  • OMFG YOUR A GENIUS!!! YOU JUST SAVED ME FROM BUYING ANOTHER IPOD AND KEEPING MY ZUNE IN THE DUST! great innovation! :D

  • Glad to know it works for others :-)
