Not really. It's possible to combo this song, you just have to REALLY manipulate the timing window. The longer the streak, the harder it is, because it slowly catches up with you, and if you do it right, you can see it. PAL just gives you more breathing room. It helps that Thrasher doesn't quite touch the point where the strum bug has its strongest effect, as well. The strum issue kicks in worst around 15 nps and up; Thrasher is slightly under 14 nps.

NTSC discs are a higher quality, so the "strum overlap limit" is around 15.5/16 NPS. on PAL you get approx 17/18 NPS before you hit the infamous "strum limit"

granted its probably not 17 NPS, but the bass strumming is like 16.5 or so, and its impossible to carry a strum that consistant for a 3 minute song.
