Drug runner in Bradley County TN gets tased and falls in traffic

Understand that the officer received intel through the radio that this is a carreer criminal. He told the officer he had only a DUI arrest yet he had several drug related offences. Hence why he asked the person to step out and to search him and his car. I don't understand why they cut out that part of the audio but it portraying a bad view.

Officer did a great job.... Fuck all the negative replies.... Yea, the dumbass almost got killed when he fell into traffic but maybe he should of thought about it before he RAN. What would have been a simple drug charge almost cost him his life.... Thats what I call a dumb mother fucker......

@MissNeisyBlair You have no idea what your talking about. You said that he was using excessive force by tasing him several times. That is not excessive force. He told the guy to get on the ground, and he didn't. He didn't know what all the guy had on him. He could have had weapons. It's a high pressure situation. You've got a split second to decide what your gonna do. Now, did the guy almost get killed? Yes. And that was on the officer. But by no means was it excessive force.

A man almost lost his life over some weed. What harm is a little weed going to do anyone? Before you say "Oh, it's the officer's job to crack down on him", do you not think the man was not trying to hide from the officer pointing a taser at him? He panicked. @MissNeisyBlair you know.... i rag on cops all the time, but this guy tried hard to do the right thing. i think his only issue was not realizing how the dude on the ground was probably in shock, and wasn't processing orders well. also, i feel that he could have dragged the guy out of the road, quickly. other than that, the dude who got tased was just lucky he didn't get shot, or beat the crap out of. alot of cops don't think twice about that crap. this cop is a good one.

@MissNeisyBlair he was pulled over for going 76 in a 70 zone also if you watch like you say you did at 3:10 he turns and runs thats when you hear the taser pop. the dtf officer was justified in every thing he did.

I like how the description says he tazed and almost killed him. He did not almost kill him. If the guy has done what he asked it wouldnt have gone the way it did. The officer was very nice and warned him repeatedly. It would have been horrible if he'd been hit but that wouldnt have been the cops fault.

What I see is a dude about to try run across the road, so the cop tasers him and causes him to fall ON THE ROAD, nearly getting run over by a truck. What a stupid idiot of a cop.

The officer didn't almost kill the suspect, The suspect made the decision to take flight and attempt to flee the officer... His taser was already drown and he was forced to take action.
