I wish the song had been cut like this: Toby Keith starts the song, then Reba McIntyre comes in after TK sings "priarie Sooners right into outer space."
Garth Brooks would join her on the chorus.
Vince Gill and Carrie Underwood trade lines on verse two, and on the second chorus Underwood and Keith sing lead. On the final chorus, Garth Brooks, Vince Gill, Reba McEntire and Carrie Underwood all lift up their voices for the Sooner State.
I moved to this state on May 13, 2008 and I love it. The people here are great and I have much respect for them and on top of that, a lot of the transplants like me seem to fall in love with this state also. After moving here, I see why Oklahomans are proud of their own state. Too many people bad mouth Oklahoma and they have never set foot on this land. Oklahoma is more than "OK'.
Oklahoma is a great state, but it is funny how we are celebrating 100 years of theft!!! The whites stole this from the natives and yet you have not heard much about indians during the whole centinnial celebration, all you hear about are the cowboys!!!
Oklahoma rocks!!! better than anything u disahree gonna have to fight me! oklahoma the best JR from wresting was born and raised here! Love oklahoma better than everything!!!!!!
thats my brother singing whoo hoo with him and him friends at oklahoma opery hes singing the opening lines and the end of the chorus each time i love him and im so proud

There have been several references to Indians. Did you watch this video? It really shows off Oklahoma!
PS - I'm Cherokee.

To me it doesn't matter if they're natives, cowboys, or whatever else.
We're all from Oklahoma. We're all part of Oklahoma.
