I just saw this guy perform with Tommy Emmanuel last night. Frank was the opening act, but he and Tommy (and his friend Vinny) did about a half hour together at the end of the show. Absolutely amazing; go see this guy if you get the chance!
@fingerstalking Saw him at Variety Playhouse in Atlanta last Saturday night with Tommy. Sounds like they did the same show. Frank is awesome. So was Tommy. Together, what a pair. 10 tons of talent on stage having a good time with each other.
@trafficjuzz it was actually a guitar that was made for him personally, but neways it made by Benedetto, now i know they are known for their pickups, but hey what ya gonna do when someone says "ok frank i got an idea for a guitar for you" an dteh rest they say is history!!!
It goes to the parallel major -- A major, that is. The song starts in A minor, part two is in C major, and part three in A major. There are several great renditions of tico tico on the tube. I heard Frank do this as a solo piece up at the Strawberry Music Fest in 2004. I swear he tore it up for about five minutes -- solo. He's so great and a super nice guy. He didn't even get pissed when that stupid announcer offered him the five bucks.
Nice Woodsongs clip, Kalbi. That's some fancy pickin'. I hope you asked Micheal Jonathon for permission to post this. I've heard he has NY mafia connections. But then again, he couldn't do anything worse to you then making you sit through his awful singing every week.
got to know this guy through the vids of joscho stephan and thought: hey, that other guy isn't all that bad either :-) Turns out he's actually pretty good
Wow...One of the cleanest versions of Tico Tico I have ever heard or seen!

I'd rather have Frank's guitar skill than Bill Gates money. All the money in the world couldn't buy you that skill and feel.

A little bit less than two minutes in total, but he actually ended at exactly 2:00 into the video. xD
PS I really don't care that it wasn't two minutes, I was just making an observation. :p

he can outshred 99% of guitarists.. on acoustic sound. great arrangement btw. it doesn't sound shallow, even though it's a solo guitar.
