  • does he make up his paintings as he goes along? AWESOME !!!!!

  • Picasso is really awesome.

  • from my point of view dhali is better modern art is not as great as some realistic painting and picasso is one of those guys who used drugs to make art if someone say something about drugs just ask someone who knows what was the fav drink of picasso.absenth.on those days absenth was so strong that made picasso mad at drawing.

  • @MyPitMind yeah, but Dali used to do Mescaline.

  • @AutumnSplendors MLK beat his wife, does that mean his ideas on racial equality should be discounted? Of course not. Never confuse the individual with his ideas.

  • 10000 pablo picassos must die

  • Picasso was a phony riding a wave of public phenomena; demonstrating the falseness of academic categorization and classification. As well example of the dangers of a ego out of control. devoid of humility and perspective (no pun intended).

  • Shit. Like 80% of his work. The method is only interesting because of who he is. Contrived dogshit. Plus he was a wanker too.

  • et paf 10000000 $

  • haha after spending 6 weeks researching picasso the comments on this page are refreshing

  • a piece of shit

  • Some of the crap that Picasso has painted...

  • Si Picasso vous passionne, venez voir quelques vidéo sur ma chaîne. Cordialement.

If you are passionate about Picasso, come and see some video on my channel. Regards.

Tout ce que l’on ne voit pas sur le plateau de la Victorine de Nice - Le Mystère ! - (occulté par les diktats de Kahnweiler), est aujourd’hui mis au grand jour sur cette vidéo.

All that we do not see on the set of Victorine in Nice - The Mystery! - (Obscured by the dictates of Kahnweiler), is now brought to light on this video.

  • OMG Piccaso predicted GMO foods! He IS way before his time!!!

  • There can only ever be one first, one pioneer.

His 'ways of seeing' may not have been the most original in the world, since we know he borrowed heavily from so called primitive and tribal art, but in that getting back to basics and stripping away all the fluff he set the precedent.

The third ingredient being how prolific he was, he must have been a volcano of art for decades to produce all that he did.

    Incredible character and now immortal.

  • @misternylon If we transform all his works in time, (hours) it would have had two lives to accomplish allhis works? A question arises: How to he done?

Si l'on transforme toutes ses oeuvres en temps passé, (en heures) il lui aurait fallu deux vies pour réaliser toutes ses oeuvres? Une question se pose: Comment à-t-il fait?

  • the point in art for me is emotions. i am sorry but i do not see emotions in his paintings and now seeing his process i do not see them even less. the thing i see here is clever visual play as you see him searching for what lines to add in a painting rather than having the intention of conveying emotions in the painting for the viewer to see them and feel them. i too can draw mazes of curved lines. i am sorry but this is my opinion

  • @cirocar "the intention of conveying emotions in the painting for the viewer to see them and feel them."

I have heard people say this about the structure and technique of Bach, and even Mozart (compared to, say, Chopin).

An emotional response to anything, art included, is not contingent upon expressive intent. Sometimes the truth of something is emotional. Sometimes just seeing another mind at work is dramatic and full of meaning. Emotive intent in art is often just the tip of the iceberg.

  • @iridescentsquids obviously you took my quote out of context but nonetheless. obviously anything in the world is emotional, therefore your counterargument is null. i was comparing the INTENT of CONVEYING emotions when making art to the obvious randomness/a form of child's play when drawing something(i explained it below when i said it's clear here that picasso is searching for pattern of what to draw next). and what if people said the same for bach or mozart?

  • @cirocar "therefore your counterargument is null."

I'm not making a counter argument, just sharing a point of view inspired by yours. You made it clear that your perspective on art is emotion-centric: "the point in art for me is emotions" compared to "just" pattern seeking. My comment was merely that the source of a viewer's emotional response art (not just yours) varies and is often independent from the artist's expressive intent. Some find Bach's spectacular discipline with patterns sublime.

  • @iridescentsquids i do not think that the viewer's emotional response varies much from that intended. Looking at michelangelo's pieta there's much more of a chance that you will feel just that - mercy, pity than anger or let's say happiness. of course i cannot say the same for modern art which i do not appreciate much(you can probably make that out from my comments). also i must add if they find bach's play with patterns sublime that it was probably bach's intention for them to find it as such

  • @cirocar yea, I suppose I agree with that basic idea, even if the form + results are completely open-ended (theres' no set formula for this kind of expression you are talking about). But this description applies equally to Picasso.

Funny you mention Michelangelo. In many ways he was a precursor to later (modern) concepts of art + artists, I think much more in line with Picasso than many of his contemporaries.

But I agree, that some kind transference/expression seem to be at the heart of it.

  • @iridescentsquids i wouldn't say he was in line with picasso but more with the minimalistic movement as he abstracted his statues in his later years. i do need to correct myself that it's not all modern art that i do not like. i have to say i especially hate this fan movement around people such as picasso or dali when people do not even study IN REAL LIFE paintings or other works of art by earlier artists. only by studying their lives and art do you see how much devotion and skill they had

  • Amazing, just simply amazing. The way he moves the brush and how softly he does it, almost seems that he just follows what his hand wants to paint! No words can explain what kind of surreal talent he was and is :)

  • The picture is the shadow of a hungry cat getting ready to pounce on a chicken. The figure with the arms raised is an angry farmer in the background.

That's my take on it anyway

  • This particular painting is a piece of shit.

  • è incredibile vedere come dipinge quest'uomo. Grazie Yo

  • Obsession with attaching lines is transformed by the lines themselves, just as obsession with animal forms (fish and rooster) is transformed by the artist's painted face. Lines connect and define endlessly whereas paint flows and liberates freely.

  • @palicsito You are very blind. His art sucks. Try to open your eyes.

  • @chand36 by his mid teens he could paint like raphael...but it took him many years to learn how to paint like a child......art is all about emotions and style of an artist...no doubt picasso is a genius....just becuz u cant comprehend his art doesnt mean it suck....personally i dont understand his art either, but everyone perceive things differently...try to find the style that u like....i like monet but not picasso....even tho they both are consider great painters.

  • @gkcnae Can you elaborate on your point as to why painting like a child is so important?

  • @gkcnae no, like i mention in my response earlier, everyone perceive things differently. i couldnt comprehend his art like few other peoples do...but imma only try to point out that picasso can paint by comparing him to raphael at teenage-hood....however, as he gets older and mature, his own unique style was established....u dont have to appreciate his art.....i dont either.

  • @chand36 you're mad. Do you remember his paintings when he was a child? How can you tell that he sucks while he paints with such mastery? How can you explain the price of his paintings if he sucks?

  • @delavg R u serious? what mastery? as of the price for his paintings, i cant figure it out. who is buying them? and why? perhaps stupidity, on the buyers part?

  • @chand36 Do you know his firsts paintings?

  • @delavg yes iv seen a few, they are different from what he does in this video, but i did not find them even a bit impressive. yes im looking at them now, and i dont like them. maybe u can explain to me why u like Picasso?

  • @chand36 I think they're impressive if you know he was a child when he painted napoleon for example - Maybe not original - At first i like cubism a lot - I don't care if there is an explanation in all his paintings, there are many picassos that i don't like - 'the old man with a guitar' for example - I like his colours a lot - much more than van gogh, monet, gauguin ..

  • Look at how Picasso created his masterpieces?

I am an admirer of Pablo Picasso who needs your support to do what Picasso wanted you to know.

    Cassia John Gilbert Moreno

  • You know when you're an art major or an art expert if you know Picasso and many other modern artists of his period are amazing. Yes, his work may be "simple" or anyone can do it. But at that time period it was doing something diff. Picasso and many other artists can do traditional. That's boring b/c everyone at the time can do that too. You have to admire is how he & his fellow artists sold this style to art enthusiasts. That itself is amazing too!

  • @kegasuru What im trying to say is that, anyone can draw like Picasso. It does not take much skill or talent. He did not deserve to be rich and famous. He deserved to be "that crazy homeless dude that attempts to draw."

  • @chand36

You are very stupid. He was a great artist. Try to think.

  • @kegasuru so ppl like his work, because he is mentally disturbed? i guess if one were to look at it in that sense, he could be passed on as an interesting person and even "artist" but skill wise, he is as good as a 3-7 year old child.

  • I dont understand wy he draw a cockroll and after he painting all over him black?

  • @EdmondDantes1934 can you qualify why it matters whether or not something is "hard to do" should having any bearing on how good something is? I mean, some of the best music in the world is simple 3 chord stuff.

  • @NotNamedJones 3 chord music being some of the greatest is your opinion. and not everyone likes the same sort of music, as is with art. i think Picasso is the lamest artist probably ever. his work is childish.

  • @chand36 ironically, calling his work childish is actually a complement since he experimented with it at different points, but if you're attributing that to all of his work, you really should research this artist a bit more before you open your mouth and make a fool of yourself. picasso began as a brilliant academically trained realist who abandoned and revisited it off and on throughout his career. its not all the same.

  • @chand36 also, about simple music, most reasonable people will admit that there is excellent music that is very simplistic and at the same time there is some very complicated (or at least, complicated sounding) music that is terrible. it isn't to say that hard music can't be good though. its not the difficulty of something that qualifies it as good or not.

  • Back when i was younger i talked like the other shitheads in the comments section and said "Picasso was a fraud, i could draw that". Over the years i painted, drawed, sculptured and did alot of other things. I studied more and more art and history and i have to say that Picasso was truly a great artist. But explaining this to people with a traditional and simple viewpoint on things who dont want it to be changed is tiring and hard.

  • @CHLOTHARIUS

those insults really support your point!

  • @EdmondDantes1934

You need to study a little art. By saying realism takes skill I suppose you are trying to say that abstract art doesn't, and you are very wrong.

Think about what art is, why does something need to seem real in order for it to be art? By the way, Picasso and all other big abstract painters had huge talents and painted realist paintings too. They chose to express themselves rather than portrait something dull without feelings.

  • I HATE IT WHEN ARTSY FUCKS TRY AND LOOK WAY TOO DEEP INTO THINGS AND GIVE THEM A DEEP MEANING WHEN IT'S OBVIOUSLY JUST A FUCKIN DOODLING. NO PICASSO DIDN'T HELP TO "change" THE WAY I SEE ANYTHING. HE HAD SOME HITS IN HIS YOUNGER YEARS AND THEN RODE THE WAVE OF FAME AND GAVE LESS AND LESS EFFORT...EXAMPLE:THE PAINTING IN THIS VIDEO =)

  • @evelauds There's no need to SHOUT! :)

  • @evelauds calm down and kill yourself

  • even my 3 year old kid can paint like that, Picasso ----> overrated fuck

  • @bojacub

your 3 year old kid can not paint like Picasso, check out some of his earlier work. :)

  • I love Picasso, but that picture sucked ass.

  • slow start to this movie but the ending is amazing

  • Ow, and the face and the litle man around it. he just got pissed and draw a face that expressed him, hes sadness and frustration when the freaking ass hole trying to control his painting x'D

  • Dudes come on, the chicken ate the fish that had eaten the plant.

Story line was: chicken was looking from some weeds to eat, moron fish came a long and ate them, chicken got pissed and ate the fish ^^

  • IT IS THE DEVIL AND HIS FOLLOWERS IN THE SHADOW..

THE CHICKEN IS 4 THE SACRIFICE...

NOW LOOK AGAIN AND TELL ME WHAT DO U SEE..

  • Damn, he wrecked a brilliant chicken!

  • mais c'est nul!!!! plus il rajoutait de couleur plus ça devenait un vrai gribouillis

  • Amazing...

he was and still is such a great artist, so inspiring, so creative...

    Picasso RULES

  • Shit's Weak!!! Watch My Painting Videos! lol

  • MODERNISM IS EVOLUTION!

  • In this rare game show clip from 1956, you can watch naked Picasso turn a fish into a chicken, then into a charred devil teddy bear, all while being monitored by a man smoking a pipe - a feat which could only be accomplished by a genius - or pretty much anyone else.

  • what a crazy motherfucker

  • god video ! :D

  • just small wow, from me. times 3. just much too way way beyond truly wicked cool....to just stop, ....and watch. Stop, ....maybe one day, ...finally look. And see.....something/anything.........I truly wish....I could just [begin] to paint.

  • The real Picasso experience

  • he even draw the mothafukin digestif system

  • if I have two paintings

One is from a very great artitst and the other of me. Then I show it to another artist and I ask him which one is beatifull, he will choose one of them. If he choose mine he I know their is no difference. Because on both paintings are completly with paint.

Only the name of the artist can change it, and fool people. Real paintings are beautifulll and not completely like this. Try it for yourself and ask your neighbour whichone he likes.... hahahah

  • @Neon241 .... I understand the name of an artist can be a credit for the sell.

Picasso also sold too many bad works which turned into big bucks.

but your explanation from art (real painting = beautiful) is very traditional... you can read about the meaning of "beauty" if you r eager to understand the message of modern art.

  • What makes one artist soooo fantastic and another a nobody?

If beauty is in the eye of the beholder, than then artistic fame is in the BS of the critics. Or should I say pockets?

  • where did the fish go? lol

  • I removed my comment...I take it back. Picasso is an awesome artist after all.

  • Comment removed

  • the genius of what picasso did in this video can only be captured in film, the painting he made in this video is not the art itself, but the process he just went through was the art. who sees a fish within a drawing of a plant? who sees a chicken within the drawing of a fish? picasso did, and that is genius.

  • don't be too intellectual about this.. he went too far.. he made a mistake with the paint and the brush.. It can happen to anybody.. even Picasso!

  • BUENO USTED SIGA SUPONIENDO!!!!

    SALUDOS COORDIALES :)

  • It's difficult for the average person to understand what Picasso has done, & that's completely understandable. The simplest way to explain it is when you view something as modern NOW, Picasso made a huge contribution to its evolution. He helped change what you see today. He and hundreds of great artists contributed. But, when your paintings become Priceless , that means that the WORLD noticed you. It's not his fault. He was a super talent, whether you enjoy the work or not.

  • @bdbd Great, "sober" comment.

  • @bdbd I gone explain to you what he painted he painted the human evolucion 1 -nothing 2-the vegetal 3 -the fish 4- the chichen 5- then he painted more grass that means the 2 eat vegeteblaS 6-Monkey turns in to men

7-Men overcomes everthing but he still got a little bit of fish /chichen inside him then there is others ,but men in essency is selfish in the end PiCASSO PAINTED PICASSO.

  • i want to understand picasso better but i need someone to answer this question.....What if my 5 year old brother drew that picture or something similar and i showed it to the viewer...would it get as much praise? honestly sit and think about it..

  • @hovtakeover check out his early work. if its that realistic, boring art you're into then it should be good for you. picasso could paint anything he wanted, what made him a true artist is the fact that he always did.

  • @hovtakeover the thing is that as every one of us has heard ''anyone can do that in a musem in refer us to a limited mind person. look if art was just the ability to paint reality we already have good cams we dont need thAT ART is a third dimension thing you have to see throught like a diferent language

  • @hovtakeover no he wouldn't because he would just draw to draw...picasso even said it took him 60 years to learn how to draw like a child, watch picasso biography here on youtube so you can see the types of paintings he painted Look at his Femme au Chapeau Orne 1962 painting...it's gorgeous, so simple and yet so difficult, to think up something like that in your mind is amazing.

    Maybe 5.000 000 - 10. 000 000 Euro ?

  • is he using a marker?

  • Fantastico...l'opera dentro l'opera che emerge comunque anche se non direttamente ...strati di arte nascosti...non rivelati ma evocati.

    Grazie...Roberto.

  • The works of Picasso are overrated. They have always been. As much as historians wants us to remember he wanted to break conventions, this film also proves how erratic and improvised his realisations were. Picasso had pictural talent as a younger artist and just perverted it with time.

  • He made a right balls out of that one.

  • Picasso is overrated.

  • @DominicanIdentity salvador dali is way better ... and yes I agree...

  • now you know why they call ANDRE JAMAL WALKER the BEST PAINTER ALIVE!

  • @stargate121: Does he blow it? It seems like his purpose wasn't sale, but process. His whole opening sequence may have just been for the camera, not for a final creation.

  • picasso is the greatest painter of munod and am studying in my school called vegeta amat

  • After 3:10 he totally blows it.

  • PlEASE LOOK MY OIL PAINTINGS IN MY CHANNEL... I WILL APRICIATE YOUR COMMENT :)

  • That makes visual arts so subjective. I look at this particular Picasso's work and see nothing extraordinarily brilliant about it. It's nonesensical scribbling signifying nothing....

  • Why is Picasso soo great in the eyes of soo many ?

  • @didondio Because he was a master. By the age of 12 he had mastered any style. He could paint, draw anything!!! And what he DID paint was the output of his master-full artistic genius. if you don't like it then you don't like it, but remember, lots of people (most of the greatest) did, and do.
