NEED YOUR HELP,,well the problem is my N900 does this phone have a dictionary on it or it does not have one,i just cant find it or do i have to download it from the ovi store.i've try download it from the app.manager but is not suitable and really don know how to use it.do you have a suggestion that might find one simple dictionary for N900,at the momeat i still looking for one,,,pls help.

Transmission works fine, but you need to install Power Kernel and overclock processor...then much more stable.

He says he uses TRANSMISSION, that is a standard torrent client used on every linux OS

...and since the nokia n900 runs on linux it's kinda normal that it uses the same client...

Best thing to do is download the torrent on ure desktop pc or notebook and then just transfer the file to the N900's storage drive. I have been doing this for the past 2 years on my Nokia N95-8gb but been playing it through coreplayer without any conversion or anything, Any avi or xvid file would play without any hassel

As much as i like the look of this phone, probs going to be my nexr phone. That app seemed so useless. It crashes, takes long and you can't multi task. plus you have to be on wi-fi of you will reach your download limit.

You might aswel use ur pc/laptop and then transfer the file over to the phone.

not sure why so many of the comments are loving this feature, seems like more hassle then its worth.

Well it doesn't necessarily have to be YOUR wifi connection so u can just be out somewhere away from your house and u suddenly need to download a file lets say. Are you gonna run all the way home or are you gonna simply do it through your phone?

Also this app is still in development which means the performance and efficiency will increase in due time.

Transmission needs to be tested for maemo 5. The one for the N810 worked flawlessly, I took it on vacation and was able to download shows that I was missing and watch them in mPlayer no problem. can't wait for maemo5

I already have the iphone 3G and have pre-ordered the N900 now I managed to get it from the official Nokia website for 360 with some discount codes. That no longer work

The N900 is based on Linux and will have endless app developers and will be easy to port Linux apps.

I am growing bored of the iphone now. All the apps on the iphone are boring now.

The N900 is a different thing all together as its based an a full OS.

Once the N900 has been out a few months I expect to see some amazing stuff.

The apps where decent when they came out there are a few worth while apps, but most are jus not worth using. I use more things from Cydia than the app store.

I assume you own The DVD or rights of the video you're downloading. Wouldn't want to show using the N900 performing illicit activities. O_o

Regarding archives, for the N800/N810 most linux archiving utilities are available, therefore I'm sure those will be quickly ported to the N900 platform assuming they haven't already been.
