@MrNewland33 The pipes drop down so low because they have to clear the irs(independent rear suspension) system that are found on all of the 99-04 Cobra's.
@MrNewland33 In reference to the over axle pipes? Because the Cobra's for the new edge SN95s come with IRS not a live axle like the GT, so the pipes go UNDER the axle, not over it
X pipes do have a different sound depending on the "X" design. UPR has a deeper, smoother sound while Bassani has a more raspy, tin-can type of sound.
A lot of owners don't want to spend the money for a new catback and it's easier to just swap out the mufflers for a different sound. Also, I have SS pipes that I spent 8+ hours polishing so those will stay on no matter what.
@Predatorbird so those pipes are the original ones or were did u buy em at ?? what did you use to polish them ?i got a 99 cobra too ...with a afm pulley and shorty headers and a dr. gas o/r x pipe and borla stinger mufflers ..but my pipes that come out are dull ....any advise?? thanks ...
Just curious why I see people taking another catback brand and weld-in another brand muffler. Is that what you had before and to save money you just cut the old mufflers and replace with the Flows? Also, do you know if there is a difference in sound with brands of X-pipes?
jesus i ove the 4v bubble sound.. sooo much better than anyother sound the new 5.o 4v sound like shit...

@MrNewland33 Do you mean the angle of the exhaust tips? Idk, I'm guessing it the hanger placement of the Magnaflow pipes.
