@weblywoobly this must be from a american console or been modded with a 50/60hz and english/japan switches.
all american/ japanese megadrive (genesis in america) consoles play games around 17% faster then pal consoles. have your megadrive console modded with the above and widen the cart slot (japan carts).
you can then play any megadrive game from any region (you need to buy a rgb cable after the mod miles better then that useless rf cable)

when i first played this game (when i was like 10) i used to use all 3 bombs on the first 2 heavy dudes that came on the screen about 3 minutes in.
but obviously now im hardcore at truxton and own the whole game on hard with one hand and no sweat.
