I bought two RROD 360s at a garage sale for $10 each. I found your video then went to Lowes and Staples to buy the parts. I came home and was half surprised when I got the first one working. I applied the fix to the second one and it was working as well. Since then, I have been buying RROD 360s for $10, fixing then selling them for about $130 each. I keep each one for about two weeks to "Stress Test" them. I have yet to have one come back. Please make videos for the other errors.

step 4, you can use a safety pin or paperclip to push down the clips, it's thin enough to fit through, and long enough to push them, but be careful! :P

Nowhere near. You have to pay 90$ USD dollars for a xbox wired adapter to connect to your internet. Then you have to enjoy paying for 20$ Xbox live cards every time you need to play it in 2 months. PS3 is about 30,000,000x better.
@pijef my xbox came with the adapter and it just charges my credit card once a year to go on xbox live and xbox has more games, free stuff off market place, and you can talk to your friends while their not in your game its called a party the only good thing about ps3 is the graphics and wall papers but the gameplay sucks my giant ballz so xbox is about 30,000,000,000x better

Well I got fucked, because my video problem was the HDMI port on the back not working. I think the solders come undone on the port. I followed this step by step and still no joy. This fix was basically a two day waste of time for me. Best of luck to everyone else. =(

This totally works!! I used the extra metal washer on top of the nylon washer. Attempted to overheat it but it actually booted then went to 2 red lights. So I cracked it open and added a little more thermal compound and voila!!

Found a Huskey torx security screwdriver bit set at Home Depot for $10. Husky has lifetime warranty and can use T8 security bits to take apart controller and fix sticky buttons.
Haven't got the Red Lights yet, but my Xbox keeps freezing on me... does this fix that issue as well?

i bought a few extra core fans on ebay for extra cooling and a better case for better cooling .
you can go as grazy as you want .
you can even find bigger heatsinks for the graphics GPU chip underneath the dvd player.
so that one doesnt get as hot.
its pretty cool the stuff that is out there for the xbox.
take a look on ebay and search xcm core fans and stuff.

try to do the fix again ,make sure you apply just about enough cool paste.
so it makes contact.
check it ,by montage it and then take it apart again and look if the paste was devided well.
thenmontage again and be carefull you dont crack the chips .
tighten the bolts clockwise ,bit by bit .
also make sure the rear fan is perfecly clean .
use alcohol to clean stuff.
if it works again then get yourself a few extra "XCM core fans" from ebay for a few bucks .

Well I got fucked, because my video problem was the HDMI port on the back not working. I think the solders come undone on the port. I followed this step by step and still no joy. This fix was basically a two day waste of time for me. Best of luck to everyone else. =(

This totally works!! I used the extra metal washer on top of the nylon washer. Attempted to overheat it but it actually booted then went to 2 red lights. So I cracked it open and added a little more thermal compound and voila!!

I sent my xbox to a repair shop and the guy claimed to have fixed it, but really he'd just heated it up so it would work for just long enough for him to take my money and fuck off.
