You know, that's all very specific. usually a glitch is some stupid little thing like a save glitch or an error in code that allows you to jump in a rock. I think the programmers put some of it in there on purpose. Or maybe they put it in there to cover up a code error.

A theory about the BadEgg:

I've seen videos of people forcing eggs to fight. When they do, they turn into the Pokemon they would hatch into. So, maybe a BadEgg is an Egg with no assigned Pokemon, so that if it were to be forced to fight the game would encounter some crazy error that makes the cartridge melt into slag? Just a thought.

mine doesnt freeze :p on my fire red, i hatched the bad egg and it was a regular egg. then i hatched it again and its a "??????????" at level 0 without any attacks. its experience is ?295596 and if you use a rare candy it learns ice punch and the game freezes but the music keeps playing. so being the pokemon nerd i am, i took it to the daycare and it had an egg and it hatched and its level 0 but it knows hidden power. i tried a rare candy and the same thing happened

I caught a "Bad Egg" in Pearl (HAX) and it treated it like a pokemon. It only knows splash. Its icon is a "?", and the animation when you send it out is glitched. I also caught a MissingNo. It went into my box, and dissapered. I put a pokemon where is was; nothing happened. In my fan-games Pokemon Century/Millennium/Nanosecond Versions, I'm gonna put BadEgg in there. But it won't corrupt save, it will just delete it. Basically, Cyrus and N will break the fourth wall and summon a BadEgg army. Your job in a minigame is to use your Pokemon to make the BadEggs prematurely hatch by attacking them and breaking them. Should one BadEgg catch up to you and knock a Pokeball out of your bag, you have to start the whole game again.

I didn't have bad eggs in a emulator, I only use AR when I finish the game, to get event pokemon, or have many TM or items... The rest, I like to hatch my eggs in the traditional way...
