The Vangelis inspired synth of the Rory McFarlane soundtrack has sensibilities of Bladerunner and the guitar shredding screams badass louder than most people are prepared to hear.

The Japanese soundtrack removes that bite that the story needs to be anything more than soft fluff or nerd masturbatory material. This is a vicious future where money comes first, the state second and you and me don't even come under single digits.

Stories thrive on conflict, fear, aggression, attainment, beauty, irony, tragedy, love and affection. The soundtrack serves to enhance that tension.

The Japanese soundtrack sounds like it belongs to a 90's Sonic game. Ugh.
