@beefire05 no it really doesn't. i actually read somewhere that that this was the first major production that did not cast separate dancers for curly and laurey in the ballet but used the actors that played them in the rest of the show instead.
i love the interview he does with rove live when he says during a rehearsal or something like that he accidentally threw her over his shoulder when he was trying to lift her at the end and he breaks his accent for Curly and says "oh shit sorry!" i would have loved to be there but alas i was in 6th grade. **sigh**
Well to those who affectionately were cast as 'WHxRES :o) I was sadly cast as the 'Gal who Just Caint Say No'..... :o) No type casting I assure you! Love this West Production so very much and of course being an 'Australian' love it even more for Hugh Jackman!
I tell you, when I saw her on his shoulder it just came to my mind, this gat to be the move he was talking about. Where agein did he talk abot this again?
and I thought I was the obsessed 1 with Jackman! I know almost every single jackman interview/clip posted on youtube :D I was kinda busy the last month, so I didn't see all the Wolverine promotion clips
The record was someone from Japan who saw it 200 times. He said that Deb loved it so much she saw it 40 times and I think the US record was someone who saw it 100 times.
Also that accident he was talking about was during the first preview in London. He was so pumped up and nervous that he threw her over his shoulder. That Rove interview was recently taken off YouTube. maybe someone will re-post it.
This Laurey is a triple threat

Love the choreography, especially the fight scene at the end! Shuler Hensley is such a terrifying Jud! His acting is just temendous in this.

What a great piece of theater, love this so much. Watch it quite often at home :)
I always snicker in Australia when the Drover says that he doesn't know how to dance ;)
Ever heard him tell the story about when they first tried that lift and he threw her over his shoulder by mistake? Lol!
