To the haters: Were you expecting IKSSE:3 repeat? Claudio is trying to push himself artisticly. Even if it's not your taste you have to admit that the songwriting is getting better from the technical aspects and the drums are just phenominal.

With the amory wars evolving into a darker and more violent story you have to expect the music to reflect that as well. With each cd the style as become harder. I know that this is technically a prequel but if you think about it, the Lord of the Rings movie intro'd with a wicked brutal punch of the last battle. I think this cd will be a lot like that. I've been a Coheed fan for a long time now but I welcome this absolute punch in the face brutality with the new stuff.

The reasoning behind this would be that the 'Heed are progressive, and they do change their sound as things move along. People are afraid of change.

For example, I got into a backwards thing, starting with IKS, then Apollo I, Apollo II, and then TSSTB. TSSTB took a while to grow on me because it was so different to their other stuff.

@shawn11291 NWFT definitely had solid songs on it, but the reason I didn't like it that much was because I felt it was overproduced. As cool as they are, we didn't need like 8 Claudios harmonizing everything haha I think Justice in Murder, Gravemakers, No World, and a lot of other songs on that album are some of their best! They just sounded too clean and lacked the rawness we hear here and all the other albums
