The bible is a kinda pointless and outdated teaching tool for young children and people who lack intelligence. Anyone who takes it seriously gets laughed at, it contains things you should learn before you are 8 years old. Dont steal, dont kill, respect others etc most people nowadays are educated enough to learn this in their everyday life anyway, perhaps 500+ years ago it was a useful education tool for the masses back then that were essentially glorified animals.
I doubt the whole bible was fiction. It's just that it is a mix of a lot of books/writings and they didn't even include everything so it's not really that belivable. It's like if I wrote something about me being extremly awesome and then 500 years later some guy would find it and belive it.
