@potrkca Stop the slow realisation that no-one cares by watching Scotch football...oh, no-one cares about that either. Slowly realise that you need to learn something, ANYTHING to fight the creeping certainty that your life is hate, and hate only hurts.
@MrBavahorror Oh, yes... Closer is my favourite album... and Unknow Pleasures... this my life! And all with The Cure, and F.O. System, and Ramones... that's my soul! <3
@morkinor Heeeeyyy! Stop telling such thing about him! He's a very talented guy. And the make-up things is just a part of his image. Su fuck off and don't post such comments!!
2:57 "Another festive compromise" classic lyric. And what a hunk at 3:26(!) (For the avoidance of doubt, that is good me, posting here is fake evil robot me only ;-), lol, tolhurst
Simon Gallup is completely underrated as a bassist. One of the best I've ever heard. You can hear the massive difference in the two albums he didn't contribute to compared to those he did.
ah. i wonder if robert smith and the cure know how many lives they've changed with their music? mine for instance.. i wonder if they know that they were my cure for depression.. very difficult times. ironic, eh? the cure cured me.
@GermanPeoplePerson- They do realise that. That is one of the reasons I think their live shows are so grand and epic as well because they want the fans to get the most special experience. Their music has always been inspiration for me and a "cure" as well. This album for instance had a deep impact on me unlike any other Cure album with the exception of '17 Seconds' (which I still think is their best work).
@GermanPeoplePerson I'm 18 and your comment is what i feel.the cure,is one band that will stay forever in "humanity".they will always be the cure for our depression and pain, and i bet that next generations will love The Cure too..It's not like Queen and Led Zeppelin, these two bands have many reak fans and many posers that hear them just to be "cool".To listen to The Cure, you must feel it,you must need it,you must love it..My father love them,i love them, and i hope my kids will love 'em too..
Where did the years go??? Why did the years go????
Remember the days when we were listening to these songs in a dark room, my bro and I super big fans since we were 14.. that´s more than 20 years ago....
Oh my living days, Robert is so beautiful. And that fish-eye camera lens is kind of distracting at times haha.
Cracking tune. The video captures the atmosphere really well (at least the atmosphere I picture when I listen to the song - sort of solitary and lots of fog). Simple but effective ye.
@JKLAYMEN hi , this is the cure, a great band in the rock world, their styles post punk, new wave, dark wave showed their versatility and musical quality
@JKLAYMEN maybe we should all just call it quits and say that the cure is an amazing and very influencial band even to this day! I am a music student after all i know what im talking about here :)
Hi robstah0326, seems that lots of people around 40 (I'm 43...) have same memories & feelings about songs of that decade, I was living with my parents too, they were leaving for country house on Friday evening for the week-end, so 1 or 2 friends came at home with last new records at the moment and then, in the dark, listening and trippin'..seems so far now, oh simple things, where have u gone...anyway, Enjoy Life& Music, thanks for comment, P&L
i've been trying to go to bed for an hour and a half now - song after song... this band makes incredible music and i just can't help clicking on the next title...
Faith was the best they ever done, saw them in 81 and they were so unique, I agree with TheCASH75 listen to the Faith in the dark, its a whole different dimension.........
I remember this album (faith) we we're laying on bed in the dark, listening to hte music, waiting for something to happened...we were young, at school, all this was strange and new, oh simple things where have u gone?!
@TheCASH75 THE SAME FOR ME!!! I was living with parents laying on the floor and listening to them while the parents were watching tv. The same toughts and feelings comes to mind after many years. Now i'm closer to 40 than to 30 and still a very strong influence to my everydays.
I know what you mean. I spent my teens immersed in the Cure , the Church, Depeche Mode....I was 16 when this song was released & listening to it now , it still has the same effect on me....hypnotic & timeless. I lost the record years ago but recently acquired the CD again
This is how a real hot guy is supposed to be... Robert and Simon are so sexy!
