In many countries, Pigeons are regarded a very good meal. I know there are different kinds of types of pigeons. In the U.K. they have wood pigeons which are hunted and eaten every day. They even have very elite restaraunts that serve wood pigeon dishes at extreme prices. I beleive that the wood pigeon is a very close relative of our fearal pigeons. I have known people in the past that have hunted and eaten fearal pigeons and said when cooked right, they are great.
feral pigeons are flying rats they are filthy animals with filthy habbits. i wont even pick up my shot pigeons without gloves on.... and you want to eat them. good luck.
Hi Matiz, glad you joined youtube. Thianks for the comment. Yeah the economic situation (or simply, the economy) is not going well now in the US. How about in DR? Is it worse this year than previous years or is it the same?
Well, judging by the way this economic is going it will not be strange if you see Pigeons in your local supermarket any time soon. Personally I don't think I can ever eat Pigeons. I just can't imagine myself eating them. What I know is that some people in D.R. eat them out of curiosity; I don't think you will find it in any stores yet.
"I believe that the cultures repeats as if the history repeats itself." That is an interesting idea Dean. Personally I view culture as more of an evolution, but I will have to think about that...But I guess sure, in the way that history does sometimes repeat itself, culture may need to adapt. And because it adapts it may repeat things from before.

No Sir (madam?),
I didn't ask you to eat them.... I just wondered how many people would eat them...And with the bad economy., well, folks get desperate.

Well, I can eat pegeons if nothing I can eat, I suppose.
I believe that the cultures repeats as if the history repeats itself.
Just now we don`t know that a long time ago, we`d eaten the pegeons. maybe ther is some people who eat them.
I think it might depend on the ages and cultures.
Thanks...
