The ending scene with Al Pacino (Lefty) was heart-breaking. It was when he knew he was gonna be murdered that night so before he left the house, he made sure to leave his money, jewelries and the car key to Annette.

It was just a simple scene but it speaks volumes.

Am I really having this conversation. The film was an act of fiction based a true events. Very few of the events that happen actually happened the way they were portrayed. My original point was and is; it is not strange Al Pacino went from one film to the other. He is paid to do so.

Sonny is a boss he introduced him as "friend of ours" because he made Donnie a made guy and took him from Lefty.

Actually (in real life, but I think in the film too) Joe wasn't made, but Sonny started introducing him as "our friend" anyway, it was one of the reasons he got whacked later. Lefty wasn't killed (FBI arrested him to protect him, when he got out he was very sick so they left him alone, died a few month later), Sonny and the guy who first introduced him as a jewelry thief was killed.
