1919 is the date of composition. Clarence Johnson also made a roll of "The Blues My Naughty Sweetie Gives Me" in 1925, although that tune was also originally copyrighted in 1919.
This was probably done because someone at the roll company realized they had never released a roll of either of these classic tunes before.
By the way, I think the latter roll is the best piano roll ever made.
Another Clarence Johnson arrangement... this one was also released as Capitol 88-note roll #1333 in 1925. Tune by W.C. Handy (of course). Nice piano virtuosity and nice drop-bass!

According to the Montgomery 's Rollography this is indeed Clarence Johnson but from 1919 ???
