It is not so much that the expression is off, as much as it is the timing of said comment. The mere fact that he would combat words with the opposition with similar words used by Palin herself to describe herself and analogies as well, is not smart. What else are we to think? He had to know it would raise questions. If not then I question his character even more. A name never has to be directly said, as much as it needs to be implied to be understood.
Obama (after stealing his material from a Washingtom Post cartoon word for word) uses the term lipstick to refer to Palin. Biden started doing it as well after McCain selected Palin. To answer the where and when. I joined on Sept. 22, 1997. My first ship was USS Stout DDG-55. I spent 5 years on her and did two separate 6 month deployments, along with numerous small underways ( a month here, 2 months there.) Then I moved on to an operational land based command in Virginia Beach for 3 years. That is classified so I can't talk about it. Now I am on a precomissioning ship called USS Truxtun DDG-103. My rank is E5. Does that raise your confidence a little? LOL.

What's so ironic about the republicans trying to imply he was talking about Palin is that it makes them look really desperate. It is so obvious that he is talking about McCain and his policies. This "fake outrage" just takes out the steam they were gaining and makes them all look foolish.
It's not that Obama is calling her a pig, it's that he is referring to her as "lipstick". Biden did the same thing when after the GOP convention he said you can't cover it up with "lipstick". It's the sexist remark equivalent to calling her a "skirt" because she's a woman.

Yeah he won, but that's mostly because Americans panicked over the financial crisis. Barney Frank and Chris Dodd need to be investigated for helping to engineer it before the election. McCain and Obama were virtually tied before September 14th, if you don't remember. By all right, Obama should have been way ahead if it's true that McCain was in the party that had fallen out of favor with the American public. Americans will be watching him over the next four years. My prediction: gone in 2012.

The mere fact that he would combat words with the opposition with similar words used by Palin herself to describe herself and analogies as well, is not smart. What else are we to think? To answer the where and when. I joined on Sept. 22, 1997. My first ship was USS Stout DDG-55. I spent 5 years on her and did two separate 6 month deployments, along with numerous small underways ( a month here, 2 months there.) Then I moved on to an operational land based command in Virginia Beach for 3 years. That is classified so I can't talk about it. Now I am on a precomissioning ship called USS Truxtun DDG-103. My rank is E5. Does that raise your confidence a little? LOL.

Look, this all started when you said he was making it a big deal that he was a POW and you accused him of using that to get elected. Maybe he is, maybe he isn't, but he EARNED that right. You want to know what's bad for the environment? Producing more nuclear plants that create nuclear waste daily that's hazardous and cannot be recycled. Continuing the mass production and obese consumerism of oil and coal that only creates more carbon emissions, thickens the ozone layer, heats the earth's surface, bleaches our coal reefs, kills fish, and creates more massive hurricanes. Youre not going to get anywhere environmentally if youre going to vote for McCain.

And as long as we continue our mass consumerism of oil, then we will never become energy independent and will have to continue depending of foreign oil. Don't you get it? We already have this technology in our hands! The only thing is our country isn't putting in enough funds to support the efforts of expanding this project of 100% clean renewable energy in 10 years.
