lol... I remember when my corp smartbombed 300 shuttles just 'cause.... we were bored. The system lagged at 300 ships blowing up at once, and displayed over 3000 ships destroyed in the last hour. Huge red dot over the entire EVE universe hovering with our system in the center. Drew the attention of everyone... including CCP. We were like.. "Oh Shit.. CLEAN UP QUICK! WE KNOW NOTHING!"

This is pre armor tanking and pre concord one shoted players. And Yulai was a Security lvl 1 system and this was the most traffic spot in the game at that time.

Well i guess i will spill the story :).

Why did we do it and how did we do it t3h story.

The past few days prior to the Yulai attack we had been fighting curse alliance in Egbinger and around that area.

They use the bannable "loginn trap" and dispite all the petitions made, GM´s did nothing about it.

That made us angry ( we even lost 1 ship in a 5vs7 fight >| ).

We made bookmark where the most trafic was in Yulai and the tank got that and the rest is in the video. Got banned for 24hours.

Well at that time when you logged out you just loged on the spot agai. So players planted players all around the gate and ready to press the char to logg in. We attacked and 5 sec after the 5 ppl at the gate became 20+.

Only thing you can do is kill as many as you can. We had RUS do that to us one time we had 5 players and they had 5 on the Egbingar gate in b-vip. After we enterd the system they became7+. With out pro shield supporting scorpions we killed 5 of them and lost one

First day you absolutely must do the tutorial. Then you'll notice you will need money to buy new skills from market and may be you want a better ship. So the next 2 weeks you try to earn this ISK and figure the game out. The tutorial only covers the basics - the rest you'll need to figure out on your own. After 2 weeks playing go to Recruitment channel (channel's button is under wallet on left panel) and try to join a corporation. If you're more of a solo player you can play solo also.

You can have as many ships as you like, but you can only fly one at a time. To get different ships you need:

1) skills to fly them, these train in real time, you just need to log in to switch them

2) money (ISK) to buy the ship and fittings, this money you earn by playing the game, mining, trading, running missions/quests, doing exploration, pirating, scamming, etc. there are many ways to make ISK in EVE

3) support skills for the ships, yes you also do need skills to fit them with modules

You start alone, you haft to learn the skills that aquiers to piloting better ships. after a while you make friends, join a corporation. make fleets with other players. killing other players, mining or just chatting ;) Its awesome game.

no they could pop u its just back then concord would not pop people who were remote repping "bad" people, so the apoc is siting there with about 4 other apocs shield repping him so concord cant blow him up, if u do that today concord takes shield/armor reping as a sign of aiding a "Bad" guy and they get destroyed also now

i remember the game before stacking penalty - so a 'geddon with 8x heat sink II's basically insta-popped anything regardless, and i remember whne torps would hit a frigate for full damage.. only prob was they used to fly at 500m/s :( also u used to be able to fit cruise missiles into standard launchers so a gang of 5-6 kestrels could take out poorly fitted bs in a few salvos...

This happned in the beggining of march 2004, 8 months after eve went live. So yeh its a really old client I lost a capsule to this lol. I remember they ahd killed around 100 ships or something, and ccp refered to it as the "Yulai incident".

BTW they didnt get banned permnently because a few days after this had happned zombie INC lost a fight and a BS. Which back in those days was like the dreadnaught kills of today.

I was a zombie member for 2 years until we all quit playing the game . we got banned for 24 hours. we did not loose a single ship in the attack .. a GM transfered the Apoc to a 0.4 system where our base at the time was located.

and we were all very rich at that time in the game. we had no problem with replacing battleships :)

its because smartbombs do alot damage and concord likes to blob. At 2:40 you see concord and other NPC ships start to get close to him. With turrets, he would have to target individual ships. While smartbombs just explode and hit anything and everything within its radius.
