  • @TheKenfig He's saying that as if he believes that John would've liked him to be more open with Yoko. He's not blaming ANYTHING on John. He's saying that he realized what John would've liked him to do, and so he decided that he should to that. He really did feel bad for Yoko. He didn't feel bad for her because John wanted him to.... So I think YOU'VE got it a bit wrong there.

  • Ha ha Paul 'blames' John for phoning Yoko ; "I feel John would have wanted me to ring you" etc. Lol. Nice one Pauly. I think you got it a BIT wrong there ; no wonder she said "don't do me any favours" etc.You could have sounded more sincere and said 'I WANTED to phone you and see how you are' etc.

  • Paul, & Linda♥

  • Just my opinion. I'm glad Yoko has the strength to be herself. But I sometimes wonder if she let John be himself.

  • Having heard the words from Paul himself now maybe Yoko's haters will begin to think twice before puting her down all the time...So glad I could hear that

  • Yoko doesn't want charity?!?! Give me a break. She is talentless and lived off of John Lennon's fortune.

  • I guess she was the right woman for John. They were both strong minded. You don't have to like your friends' friends.

  • I don't like that woman, how about her sleeping with a married man in his home while the wife is away & think how great it is and how she reacted when the wife came home to find her there, why is this just hunky dorey because "John loooved her" ewww. As a woman, how can you believe ANY thing she has to say about anything after that. come on people, disowned his child as well, it was cruel, very unloving, nonpositive. Have it happen to you. Don't need to know her, don't want to. Horrible

  • Your damn right you mis understood her pual. oh and it's kind of creepy that you called her and did not have the desire to talk to John afterwards.

  • @invaderyama It was after John was killed.

  • @NotADood my bad still kinda creepy.

  • You were right Paul.....she was pushy. It's documented fact.

  • @genericgeorge she has opinions yes like everyone else and yes she was a bit pushy becuase well she's 8 years older than john she like a teen amongst 7 year olds.

  • "The talents of Yoko Ono remain as a treasure hidden from mortals."

  • Fuck, Yoko's entire musical career has been buildt on charity. Because we all love John so much, we mostly accept the big pain in the ass Yoko. Paul and George had it right the first time - she is a pain in the ass. John's gone. The truth can be told.

  • pauls a nice guy..nobody perfect..but by and large,,he's got a good heart...he reached out to yoko...she was her usual nasty self..but he let it go and tried to keep the lines open

    nice man..deserves only good things

  • My choice in seeking the high ground in my life is not prompted by fear of punishment OR confrontation. I suck up to no one. You still miss my point, which I have no problem with. The problem is your ingrained rudeness. Probably so ingrained in fact that I'm sure you're not even aware of it which is no excuse and if you are you think it's OK. I always make an effort with fairness and courtesy. I have no problem disliking someone for good reason. I dislike you because you're a jackass.

  • Yoko has a way of hurting everyone and everything she comes in contact with. That's the simple truth.

  • Comment removed

  • He's much classier in public about her than her to him. IMHO.

  • I've always loved how Linda never interrupted paul and let him speak.. never used his fame. Very sad that she is gone.

  • can you *believe* that some people think that post-1966-Paul is an impostor - and a different bloke from the mop-top Paul of pre-66.

HE'S THE SAME BLOKE, PEOPLE. If you can't see that clearly in this clip here, then you are officially an idiot.

  • Come off it, she lied and said she'd never heard of the Beatles just to get at John. That's a great way to start a relationship!

  • @Zebonka How do you know it was a lie? Do you know Yoko? Or is it that you can't see how it might be possible that she'd never heard of the Beatles so you make the assumption that it can only be a lie?

  • No no, she really did make that shit up. It's documented.

  • Naw--she was and always will be a selfish, manipulative self centered bitch who is only out for herself--no matter who she steps on. I see her and i see evil!

  • @Frsng1 ... Why?

  • @96Rikke OK--before I answer that I wish to be fair--what do YOU see when you see Yoko??

  • @Frsng1 You ask me what I see when I SEE her? Alright. She has black hair and you can tell she is japanese. But I don't know how she is, I've never met her.

How can you be so sure, she is that 'evil'?

  • @96Rikke At last, a human being who thinks. Well said!

  • @Frsng1 I see a woman who I've read much about and have never met or had any interaction with BUT... John Lennon chose her as his life partner and proclaimed loud and clear his love for her. The same John Lennon who I admire, for his honesty and ability to touch people in a positive way which inspires me to do the same. Since I really don't know her, I choose to use Johns relationship with her as a basis for liking her as opposed to crap that people who don't know her write. GET IT!!

  • @mrfester42 See below dumb ass

  • @Frsng1 The capacity that we humans have for seeing what we want to see is amazing. Here Paul relates how he made the effort to see things more clearly by actually trying to get to know Yoko and he admits that she's NOT the bad person he thought she was. And then there's you, who doesn't know her at all but you see her and you see evil. You post your comment here because you're convinced that you're seeing the truth. The stupidity and search for hatred is mind boggling.

  • @mrfester42 Hey Einstein--this inteview was done YEARS ago--have you heard Pauls comments on the subject in more recent years??? They are not at ALL flattering--he has said--among other things that she is not the brightest of buttons and has openly refused to be photographed with her on occasion. Since you are so smart--jusding by the fact that you call me stupid--perhaps you can take some time and look these more recent statements by Paul yourself--asshole!!!

  • @Frsng1 You still don't get it and you see only what you choose to see. Rather than really thinking, instead you choose to take the high ground by calling me "asshole". READ carefully. I did not call you stupid nor was that my intention. I'll consider any viewpoint if rationally argued but you haven't done that. We (which includes you) still choose what we believe especially here because we don't know her. Be polite and rational and I'll respond, be rude and I wont.

  • @mrfester42 I think it is YOU who does not get it! Paul has changed his tune since that interview-the Howard Stern interview for a start---jeeze--stop sucking up tp John already. Trust me--he can't hear you and you are not going to score any brownie points for sticking up for Yoko. Read what May Pang had to say--jeeze--99.9% of the people who know her say she is, at best a witch. It really is OK to dislike someone. the invisible man in the sky is not going to punish you.

  • @Frsng1 what interview? could u send a link. i wan a hear it haha

  • @TheNightOwlsSquadron At last week's Q music awards in London, Yoko, 72, appeared to ridicule Paul's songwriting ability. She told journalists: "Sometimes, in the middle of the night, John would ask, 'Are you awake?' and I would say, 'Yes.' And he said, "You know, they always cover Paul's songs and never mine, and I don't know why.'

  • @Frsng1 Except that all of them HAVE to suck up to her because she controls John Lennon's estate. Morticia sama achieved EXACTLY what she set out to do: have control of the Beatles. If they don't suck up to her, she can stop all businesses that the Beatles have. So, she is one nasty character but they (Paul, Ringo and George's estate) are hostages. Trust me, they are going to treat her like glass if they want to get anything done.

  • Have subtitles please?

  • @TheMarques400 "I said, 'You're a good songwriter - it's not just June and spoon that you write.'"

At the weekend, Paul, 63, hit back when he said Yoko was "not the brightest of buttons," adding: "Her life is dedicated to putting me down. That's what she seems to do all the time. Yoko is a law unto herself

  • Where did you get this I wonder???

  • When Was That Intreviw???

  • @TheMarques400 I believe it was around 84/85 and from a documentary made about John.

  • @GraemePaul100 Thank You =D

  • Paul...... always the peacemaker, wants to live in harmony.

  • @yesiamize Some people want to fill the world with silly love songs! What's wrong with that? I don't care where I find something that's positive to learn. If it's a drunk on the street, a famous songwriter, the bible or a six year old kid, it's all the same to me.

  • the thing is all people need to see this video, the idea that she was trying to be herself and trying to be blunt and honest is the exact reason why john fell in love with her. she is so much more than what most people see in her. im not a huge fan of her music but for her influence on john im incredibly great full. the music he made at the end of the beatles and onwards was hugely influenced by her, one of my favourite john songs is real love, its about how all his life he was waiting for yoko

  • this is very interesting.. do you know where this interview is from?

    where did you find it?

  • @rockyraaacoon see above... recorded from TV.

  • ii really liked seeing this. I have learned to "like" yoko but i dont know that i will ever be able to love her. But its good to hear this from Paul.

  • Thanks
