While it failed action-wise, this is a perfect example of how Ang Lee gave us a glimpse into Banners' mind while he was the Hulk. And this also gave it the appearance the Hulk was his own persona and not Banner.

The hulks athleticism in the 03 film should have been used in 08. the nuances of his body language were fantastic. the story of 08 was better but overall the 03 was more hulk like. wow...I commented on an animated flick. cool. In terms of the cinematic language, 2003 was a master peace, I guess lot of people felt envious of the Asian director & that's why they rated him low. For me 2003 is considered a turning point of the visual regime of the silver screen. This guy is a genius!

When I heard a remake of the Hulk was already coming out, I figured sure, why not? Fans were obviously unhappy with the first movie, and the first one was decent film making I thought. So if the remake is supposed to be better, than we should have a great film on our hands.
Unfortunately, I was quite unimpressed with this Norton version. It was just so generic and forgettable. I mean, it was even't a decent popcorn flick filler, the action scenes are all so unremarkable.
I thought this movie was great. The story, whilst different, stays true to in sprit to whats been established in the comics, especially the Hulk who exactly the same as in the comics. The acting was top notch, a lot of time was spent on character developement to help feel for the characters, but many people felt put off by it. I felt the CGI in the movie was pretty decent, the CGI Hulk here had some amazing close facial shots, and it moved a lot more realistically than the 2008 Hulk.
Ok but you basically lied in that whole thing his dad was messing with his dna and passed it down but he just bruce a super immune system which kept him alive when the gamma hit him like he said the nanos and radiation awoke somthing already there.

In terms of the cinematic language, 2003 was a master peace, I guess lot of people felt envious of the Asian director & that's why they rated him low. For me 2003 is considered a turning point of the visual regime of the silver screen. This guy is a genius!

This movie was better than the 2008 one. The new one played it easy and was such a typical superhero movie.
Rather than following the set formula to the letter, this one was a vision, had darker issues, and best of all was completely insane.

is it just mee or when you compare hand sizes and face sizes that the 2007 movie prime and this hulk are near the same size? hulk is probably 4 ft smaller, but still, a little to big for hulk, as ive seen in most other places, and in the comics i read somewhere hes 7-9 ft(if i remember), just a little wierd, oh and primes truck should be just a bit smaller than a tank(not by much) and ive seen the scene with the tank,i cant quite say that mostly but im only taking this from ROTFs megs tank mode

I think this one had better character portrayal.
Bana, Connelly, and especially Elliot.
But the new one was more faithful to the comic.
AND YES, he was fuggin' huge in this movie.
in the comics, he doesn't get much bigger than around 10 ft.

When I heard a remake of the Hulk was already coming out, I figured sure, why not? Fans were obviously unhappy with the first movie, and the first one was decent film making I thought. So if the remake is supposed to be better, than we should have a great film on our hands.
Unfortunately, I was quite unimpressed with this Norton version. It was just so generic and forgettable. I mean, it was even't a decent popcorn flick filler, the action scenes are all so unremarkable.

I thought this movie was great. The story, whilst different, stays true to in sprit to whats been established in the comics, especially the Hulk who exactly the same as in the comics. The acting was top notch, a lot of time was spent on character developement to help feel for the characters, but many people felt put off by it. I felt the CGI in the movie was pretty decent, the CGI Hulk here had some amazing close facial shots, and it moved a lot more realistically than the 2008 Hulk.

watch the scene where he's fighting the army.
The Jet he's hanging on is about 60ft long. And he' covers 1/3rd of it.
He's close to 20 ft tall in that scene.
He's bigger than a house at one point and gets bigger during the fight with the dogs.

This movie wasn't as good as the 2008 movie because it deviated from the comic book too much.
At least in the new one, his dad didn't inject him with some Hulk serum, and he didn't grow to the size of Oak Trees.

i said why i cried and i meant to say some critics were touched by the film and ebert gave 08 a partially negative review unlike this.Ebert,jeffrey lyons,david ansen.I enjoyed alot of 08 but in emotinal depth it lacked.I would have enjoyed it more if i actually cared but no one cared what happened to this dud ethe critics didn't either that was the main complaint that it wasn't deep.

Neither movie was very deep.
2003 depicted his psychological reaction. But it was the wrong reaction. In the 2003 movie, Banner says he liked being Hulk.
In the 2008 movie, Banner hates it, and is traumatized by being the Hulk.

Actually no ang lee and universal said that it was lees vision of his own hulk so your wrong i am right and neither really kept close to the comics look if you want an emotional film that makes you care see 03 if you want an action packed tv show based unrealistic hulk go see 08.The soliders were trying to kill him thats all not like thats bad!.And there are other banners like his dad but they just made it in lees vision.And they never said that but norton said he looked to the show more.
