Hello guys, I have a question.

I have a longboard and I skateboard pretty often but, I step with my left foot which is infront of my right foot and, I have my right foot behind my left the whole time is that normal ?

I don't see people standing this way..

Mostly It's like left foot at the front and then step with right or right in the front and step with left..

@ownedbyjelleh this is called Mongo pushing. It's controversial whether it is wrong to push like this or not. I personally do not think it matters. In fact, many people who skate for Original push like this, including one of the co-founders, Brad Imbrie.

@ownedbyjelleh it's good to know how to ride both ways, especially if you're doing long distances like this race. Knowing how to push both ways gives your legs a break.. plus one of your calf muscles will not be bigger than the other haha!

@chilidog106 if you're just starting out then I suggest the Pintail 43. It's a great beginner through advanced board. The Pintail 43 is lower to the ground, making pushing easier, and it's also a stiffer board, giving you more stability. You may also want to put either red, or white springs in your trucks for added stability.

@tacoKingPaco your probably just doing it wrong. figure out whether your regular or goofy, by kicking a ball and seeing which foot you use to kick. that will be the foot you use to push, which will end up on the back of the board. im goofy and if i try to skate regular i will fall off lol. but longboarding is like the easiest and best sport out there you should definitely try it.

@woahcoolwaffles121 honestly man dont go with a pintail series, go with the Axis series- they are flat out incredible they have drop through trucks for sharper turns you can kick harder with less effort, the best board i ever bought. Not hatin on the pintails there good but not for a beginer they are a very difficult board to ride unless u have good experience under ur belt. Axis thou is a great board all around. get Axis board, made by Sector 9 around 189 greatest buy ever.
