  • first song i heard with skinny.. addictive

  • nicely done. what software did u use?

i wanna make some vidz for sum of my music.

  • The sampled snip at beginning & end is from Hitchcock's 'Shadow of a Doubt'. Nice job on the vid.

  • lol love the bass in this song

  • I'm trying to get into Skinny Puppy, seeing as how they really started the whole industrial scene. But I just can't seem to get into them the same way I do for NIN. They are far to experimental for my taste.

  • @madmethod21 Industrial was once called acid rock and it started somewhere in the 70's with Throbbing Gristle. Einsturzende Neubauten if anyone created the concept of industrial. Of course I won't argue who started what but Skinny Punny didn't start anything. They just innovated the industrial sound.

  • I was driving to work a few winters back and I was listening to this song when another vehicle rammed the back of my van and my side windows all shattered spraying glass all over the place. I thought it was ironic.

  • skinny puppy, front line assembly, delerium, will, noise unit, leather strip, vomito negro, the klinik, insekt, mentallo & the fixer, psychopomps, blok57, dive, sonar, sona eact, ...

    psy

  • Well done, brother!

  • By far the best song by SP. Not to mention the best album. When i saw them play this live I almost shit my pants. BRAP ON.............

  • @otterboi26 if they'd only played this on the last tour i would've been happy, my fav track

  • amazing song, horrible video

  • SOLVENT RAINS FROM THE SKY

    BACKLOG DANGER, HYPNOTIZE

  • I love that first picture of cEvin and Ogre.

  • Cabaret Voltaire didn't copy Skinny Puppy - it was the other way around.

The Cabs came first, as did TG and SPK. No doubt Puppy was influenced

by all of them. Which is fine.

  • People who live in Glass Houses shouldn't smash them while they're inside.

  • people shouldn't live in glass houses , and therefore should throw stones to break down barriers they may not even know are there. long live SP!

  • People who live in glass houses should not throw stones. Also if you live in a glass house, do not walk around naked.

  • I love Darksynth, HARDCORE Electronica, and early Electro-Industrial experimental Industrial!!!

    Skinny Puppy FTW.

  • sweet, but its FORNICATE, not phornicate .. sweet vid though

  • @13scoob13 does not phornicate seem more appropriate? thas jus hauw thay didd itt mang. ~.0

  • Smash glass houses, indeed. I long for shattered social constructs...

  • im doing a poetry assignment for school on this song and addiction, im pretty sure its about a false charicter he created for himself to bury old memories, and crash glass houses means his false reality he created is going to crash

  • that's gonna trip your teacher out and she's gonna be like "You're a genius!"

  • i didnt pass it in as my own, i just had to analize a canadian poem, got an A on it too

  • 74K3 4 /\/\|D0|_ D00D.

  • @evildnalor lmfao!!!!!! take 4 midol hahahaha (quit bitching) so fucking funny evild... or am i just crazy and seeing what i want to see >.>

perhaps hearing what i want to hear as well?

  • @schwilly75 not take 4 midol, 4 means A. So you only need 1. Four is a little much.

    C4|\|7 |_37 Y0|_| D0 7|-|47 574RF0X

  • nice work! =)

  • "The sweetness of there chemicals live on with us forever"

  • their*

  • why dont you buy it

  • why cant anyone post the cleans fold manipulate album raaahhh

  • Impressionante como já nos primórdios da banda eles eram absolutamente únicos e geniais. Esta música é simplesmente fenomenal

  • Oh god someone put me in Skinny puppy heaven

  • i've seen 3 shows of Skinny Puppy and i can tell you that they're verry electric from beyond

Too dark park was the best ever show i've seen !

  • i was at the too dark park show in tororto when i was 13 awsome time

  • i went to College Park, MD to see them in 1987 or so. WOW.

  • Create vision fabricate, smash to pieces watch and wait, SMASH GLASS HOUSES!!!

  • BRAP?!

  • look it up....u will ike it if u are a true SP fan

  • So it's just a song.. no code or anythng?

  • It is a song, but also it is when you get wasted and write music. Beauty is produced, horrific beauty. Someone correct me if I have misinterpreted any facet of this.

  • Brings back memories of City Club in Detroit...best industrial club ever.

  • they are the worlocks of our times,Prophets one would say. What we are from, what we are now ,to where we are heading. They are a product of our shit, waste and hate

  • the synth stuff before sp was all poppy and no one was doing any experimenting with them, or trying to play around with them. They would just pop the simplest beat in the drum machine and use the same generic factory made sounds. Skinny Puppy rocked the synth. They made it dark, and unpredictable. They were outside of the box when everyone else could not escape it.

  • Amen to that :)

  • Don't forget the 'Gristle tho, they built their own synths to create the early industrial sound. Not as good as SP, but worthy of mention.

  • Nurse With Wound too, still prefer SP.

  • and before them Kraftwerk were building their own samplers, synths and sound modules

  • So very true. Brilliant.

  • Throbbing Gristle is better, they were dependant oni t!

  • You should check some of Hard Corps stuff like Metal and Flesh, Dirty or Desolation Land. they were around Brixton South London in 1984 and all synth not even samplers at that time.

  • @evildnalor Yeah, Cabaret Voltaire? They just copied Skinny Puppy. It was just poppy shit before Skinny Puppy. You were probably in pre school when they first started.

  • @MeatisMordor lil wayne is good to.

  • @evildnalor Bollocks, the synthesizer was seen a purely avant garde in the late 60s and throughout most of the 70s, when it popped into the mainstream in the early 80s through bands like The Human League and Depeche Mode it was brought to the attention of the average person via pop music. Experimental synth music had been happening long into the 70s underground beforehand with Throbbing Gristle, Brian Eno and The Residents to name a few. Skinny Puppy were about 25 years too late to be the first.

  • @PickledYoshi cool, so dark underground synth music was around in the 60's? Who was the very first? The doctor who theme was pretty hard for back then...

  • @evildnalor Fuck yeah, so true man they really did push the synthesizer to a whole new level.

  • Wonderful job on the video! An excellent song by a superb band! :D I gave this vid 5 stars all the way!

  • extraordinaria banda,...GRANDE SKINNY PUPPY..........saludos de PERU.

  • SICK Fretless bass! Remissions has always been on my top all time favorites. Absolute creativity!!!

Who knew that they'd be Ed Wood fans though?

  • sp lyrics makes more sence than ANY other group out there.

  • thats so true

other bands like take marilyn manson put it all out for shock value and attention, but skinny puppy they are gods of industrial!!

  • I guess Skinny Puppy is a tad bit Older Than Alien Sex Fiend

  • Fornicate.

  • This reminds me of being in 10th grade in 1986 and getting wasted at a friends house listening to this and thinking life couldn't get any better.

  • nice

  • My absolute favorite Puppy track.

  • @beowulven

    me too. and assimilate.

  • I love this song! I only wish it could be longer than just 3:43 :(

  • It's hard to believe that SP once sounded like this...groovy dancefloor classics, along with the entire Remission album.

  • As a teenager i imagined someone playing bass with a screwdriver to produce the sound of it

  • It's easy to believe. That was the first form of electronica industrial.

  • Very well done, radiOn! I can't believe how well this track has stood the test of time.

  • Hey, isn't there a song called 'Glass House', too?

I remember hearing it, because it sounded like (and was) 'Glass Houses', but it was like a remix or something..

  • It must be "Glass Out" that you heard.

  • No, it wasn't Glass out, It sounded different....Cuz I've heard glass out before.

  • oh nivek ohgr you sexy bitch...this song is awesome...thanks

  • agreed! :3

  • Awesome, the first shot gives them tits.I like boobs. I'm drunk, and angsty. I love Skinny Puppy.

  • I love this song.. and the video is super!

  • this is one of the better old-era SP tunes and a fairly good fan made video whereas most fan vids are complete shit ...

  • i love the older skinny puppy this is the first song i heard from them i was on acid and had a hard time keeping still the whole Remission album played through and i was tormented by it , later became a fan and since have gotten a skinny puppy tat2 the newer symbol it looks cooler.

  • i wish i knew english perfectly to understand the meaning of the songs but SP lyrics are so difficult, but they sound great.

    A fan from apain!

  • Yeah, anyone who doesn't know English well will have a hard time understanding SP's lyrics - they're very hard to follow, and use a lot of intentional misuse of words in weird places (intentionally of course, for effect). There is lots of clever usage of words but it's hard to understand the concepts if you don't have a full knowledge of the words and their usual context... ;)

  • i like there older stuff more than there newer stuff. ecxept for there song "ugli" thats more like there older stuff.

  • I like there older new wave sound, bites and remmision stuff

  • Yeah same here, but my favs are The Process, Last rights, and remission.

  • What's with all this talk of New Wave?! NW is Blondie, Television... i.e. skinny ties and GUITAR-pop! This is Syth Pop plain and simple! Best synth pop, ever, mind you...:)

p.s. this the one that got me hooked (that demented bass). still get chills

  • yeah synth pop is a much more valid catagory for this

  • synth pop, r u fucking retarded, more like dark wave, and expiremental and electronic

  • Dark wave, hardly. They really weren't experimental until Last Rights. And Synth Pop already is electronic. Regardless of being good (albeit dark) songwriters, they kept with the times, and Synth Pop was part of those times.

  • Bullshit, New wave or synth-pop, Throbbing Gristle was doing Electronic stuff like this, it wasn't their usual stuff, but IT was indeed industrial.Skinny Puppy was influenced by Throbbing Gristle,(i.e. blood on the floor=blood on the wall)so look up on your skuppy history before you decide to label them as "darkwave" "synthpop" or "new wave"

    fuckin brak talk

  • whatever who cares about genres. I dont give it too much thought. and you should'nt either.

  • Kudos. This is seriously industrial. Darkwave and synthpop are in no way close; either in composition or offbeat-ing of drums. "New wave? What's this about a new wave?"

  • industrial? really?

  • actually i thought skinny puppy was chinese christian pop.

  • What?

  • eurocentric brappop.

  • its actually "whats this about a new way" ?

  • I stand corrected. Much respect, gracious thanks.

  • no problem. no disrespect meant.

somewhere someone compiled a list of every sound bite and movie clip the puppies ever used on most of their early albums, maybe i can find it and post the link

  • I dunno why, but this song by SP reminds me of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles :)

  • on that one part right before the main chorus it say morbid desert ice cream eyes so decieving freternized carefully

  • thx :)

  • BEST FAN VID EVER

  • Fantastic song.

  • zik bass

  • smash glass houses!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • new wave is exacatly what it is.....all the dumb people who say no are just held back by the "goth thing"but yes....this is "horror new wave"i believe puppy started it...mabye the misfits static age touched on it 2.

  • i agree horror new wave, but they do have goth songs to i suggest u try the song worlock 2 here there darker side of musik

  • yes...im quite aware of warlock...also too dark park is one of my fav discs of all time...i just think the earlier stuff was more new wave sounding...

  • i couldnt aggree anymore

  • it was my fav song until Mind:A Perpetual Intercourse came and we have Dig It and Stairs and Flowers (Dub).

  • good stuff

  • Nice vid.

Dig the fretlass bass here. This and "Smothered Hope" are the best tracks from SP's new-wave phase.

I can take or leave the stuff about objects fornicating, but the _first_ part of the refrain is one of SP's best lyrics:

"Create vision, fabricate / Smash to pieces, watch and wait / Smash glass houses."

    Tough counterculture slogan.

  • Not to bad.

  • amanzing just rocks skinny puppy they rules i loved thanks nice job

  • Great job! Didn't even realize it was fan made at first.

  • That was really awesome. Four thumbs upZ!!!

  • thx :)

  • what album is this song from?

    good job by the way!!

  • its from remission

  • nice job!

  • It sounds to me like the song by CSS 'Let's make love and listen to death from above' kinda copies the synths in this song

  • you can esily see the ebm/new wave influence in this song... kinda stopped going in that direction with their later stuff... which, imo is unfortunate

  • This video is damn fine, good job ole chap

  • Amazing! 10/5

  • this is very excellent,I love the band photos...thank you for making this.

  • Wow!! How can I get this on DVD to play at my club??! Excellent job!!

  • Im impressed! You did a awesome job, making this video

    thanks for sharing/posting

  • very good video,,, thanxs!!

  • excellent

  • that is pretty cool! Cheers for making this, well done!

  • i love this song

  • Thanks for posting this. This song SO reminds me of my early 20s when I lived in Louisville Kentucky. Gosh, how it brings that time back in a jolt.

  • thank you
