The economy is collapsing because of rampant crony capitalism and socialism,raising costs to uncompetitive levels. A "place of resource where people can have and share" sounds like communism. America is well on its way...Hopefully not though. The death toll in America would be astronomical.

Thanks John. I think you are onto something profound with your talk of reassessing what is real wealth and success. Family, friends, good health, spiritual enlightenment/growth and the ownership of real assets (a home, land, etc) are what should constitute wealth in society. Like you said, a return to basics...a coming to full circle in what was once valued. These are very great thoughts. Thanks for reminding us.

Thank you for your thoughts. I believe you are correct about false success vs real success. I think it can be called real vs false wealth. I think real wealth is close family, health, financial independence- no debt, & spiritual connection. Fake wealth is a material lifestyle bought on credit & an ego built on delusion. Delusion will crumble into dust & reality will be exposed. From my experience, delusional people don't deal well with reality so these will be interesting times.

LCROSS cost $79 million, a very, very small amount, relative to almost anything else the US spends on. NASA has had to become very resourceful and creative in devising low-budget missions, in the pursuit of pure science.

As for the impact, well, those who watched can tell you, it wasn't at all eventful. In fact, the CENTAUR probe impacted in an area of deep regolith (lunar soil), with no visibly discernible "splash." Now it's up to analysis of instrumental data to see what we found. =^[.]^=

john...you do know the size of the object slamming into the moon...now you do realize that objects many times that size have slammed into the moon...in the past and will in the future without moving the sphere off its axis..just look at the pock marked landscape...there are some very large craters on its surface.

as evident by the HUGE crators on the moon it has been hit by very large objects in the past...so im not too concerned about the moon shattering ...and i believe the gravitational pull of the moon is great enough that no large objects will leave the moons orbit ...but nevertheless i think its a waste of time

They're just trying to kick up a little ice in a crater that doesn't get sunlight. They have detected hydrogen paticles and are looking for more proof that water in the form of ice exists on the moon. If it does, this greatly simplifies the future habitation thereof.

Dude, I like your vids but stick to economic forcasts and philosophical comments.. ;-) The impact is insignificant compared with impacts that created the craters on the moon. Speed of impact is more like 10 times the speed of a rifle bullet. God bless you to!
