  • Get the Mr2 if you want a car that you set and forget, get the Rx7 if you like to tune and problem solve. I've had friends with FD's and the vaccuum hoses ALWAYS blow and its not easy to replace either. The rotaries also get 100 degrees hotter than piston engines and get 20mph on a good day. The Mr2 will run forever lightly modded (say 300whp) AND be mid engined :)

  • the narrator said the rx7 had engine problems in the end

  • that generation of mr2 was made until 1999 (i wouldn't consider that old when you're talking about the FD)

  • wtf somethings wrong with that rx7...my stock1987 turbo II does mid 14s..it should be able to take the mr2..plus rx7 does run with the big boys but this fd is fucked up..

  • Why does this surprise you? The JDM mr2 has 245hp and the rx7 has 255hp and the mr2 is slightly lighter with a mid engine design. Stupid fuck head.

  • i would rather deal with the pain of replacing a 7 motor rather than an mr2

  • I would only get a 7 if I have a pile of rotary engines laying around, LOL!

  • Its the speed of the launch that made the difference, the rx7 driver semi stalled on launch.

  • The 7 would kill the mr2 on a road course. The only reason i would take an mr2 is cause it would last longer:) Can't get rid of my 7 though :)
