sounds like you bought through their company website. capresso sells refurbished units direct to customers at retail price on there. I don't blame you for giving up but I will say I have had mine for almost a year with 3-4 pots brewed daily and it still works fine. That being said after watching this video I will be keeping an eye on it for smoke and unplugging it when not in use.
Mine lasted just under a month. Now when I press the on button, it just sits there, it won't grind or brew.
