Thanks for this Is there a whole series? I grew up reading these books around age 9 in colonial Africa. Wonderful set of adventure books by Arthur Ransome. In retrospect a bit class and anglo-centric tainted in ideology but nevertheless good reading. This was read at about the time I gave up Famous Five and Secret Seven and the Hardy Boys. :)
I love this film! :) I'm making a remastered version*; so far it looks like it was filmed with modern cameras, and the audio seems out of place.
*colour correcting & adding more contrast etc

My God she's ugly. Needn't say her name everyone knows who I'm on about.

@sup3rh1k What? I think you must be the ugly one (inside), making an idiotic comment like that.

@theguymjp Are you her Dad or something?

@sup3rh1k I must be "something", because I'm not her dad. Seriously, what's wrong with you? Do you need help?

@theguymjp Jeeese I only said she was ugly, she is ugly. Or does she give you your kicks when you have the house to yourself?

@sup3rh1k My word, you really are one perverted little mutt. This is a children's programme. Take your rude trash talk elsewhere please.

@theguymjp As it goes I love this film and have read the book countless times.
But Christ alive she's ugly, and theres no escaping that.
Even Mr Bean wouldn't look twice.

@sup3rh1k Obviously your version of "beauty" is purely external and very subjective. Fancy calling a child "ugly", anyway! My goodness. Good bye.

Great to see Suzanna Hamilton in another work. I only knew her from Nineteen Eighty-Four.
