awesome playing, and sweet guitar. I also have an ESP LTD VIPER 400, but mine is Olympic White, i had 2 color options and the other was black. I installed a PA2 gain booster switch in mine (Kerry King from Slayer setup), and it screams.

Great solo, i cant wait till i learn to do solo's, lol.

what about the ENGL 530 for death/grind , black and thrash metal ? and for oldschool rock tones ? and for clean tones ? and how reacts the preamp to distortion stompboxes (i regularly use a boss HM-2 for its dirty and raw tone )

I think 530 is very good for extreme metal sounds as well. For oldschool rock I prefer the crunch channel, it's a Marshall-like, but still "ENGL-ish" sound.

I think there's no need to use external distortion for this preamp, because it's more dynamic and has more gain than any stompbox.

yeah !! far beyond ibanez ... only jackson , gibson and some fender guitars can rival high-end LTD or ESP guitars i think ... they make the best shit out there ...  awesome tones , nice finish , cool neck , lightweight but nice sounding ... great sustain ... these guitars , for me , are almost perfect !

I just bought this same guitar today. The LTD Viper-400. It's the best guitar I've ever played. EMG 85/81 pickups on all of them. If you try it you will buy it, so bring your cash.
