The only thing that I have a problem with is the super speed of the film and how most of it was Katara narrating through the semi-important parts. I think that if everyone understood Shyamalan, they would get why he made all those changes and see why the subtle changes were actually not a bad thing. Aang's arrow wasn't blue, that was a trademark symbol of the show. The acting was awful. The dude who played jasper played Sokka, terrible choice

So, basically, Shyamalan (maybe) watched the series and jotted down notes of what happened. Then, rather than writing actual dialogue, he just put the events that happened in the characters' mouths. No dialogue, just notes. The characters' said 3 things throughout the whole damn thing: What had happened, what was currently happening, or what was going to happen. I am not joking, that was IT.

@oxzeexo acually the studios cut his film up and butchered it and if you look at early reviews they were calling it his comeback but as soon as studios forced 3d on him the film was cut from 2hrs and 30minutes to 1hr so m.night didn't fail at anything.And his directing was actually really good while hisscript was passable until studios got ahold of the editing of the film.

I really hate film directors who destroy my favorite shows only to fill thier wallets.And they wonder why it didn't reach people like they thought it should have.Like Obama's policies, Nobody likes it so quit useing race as an excuse. color blind my ass! M Nite had a chance to come back up, but like Obama, he failed to reach everyone's expectations. Especially for the fans who had some glimer of hope that it came close to what we expected to see. Results. Not more questions like what the F-?!

It's not just the horrible acting... the movie doesn't follow the original story line...AND they mispronounce the main characters name over 9000 times along with a few side characters :/

So, basically, Shyamalan (maybe) watched the series and jotted down notes of what happened. Then, rather than writing actual dialogue, he just put the events that happened in the characters' mouths. No dialogue, just notes. The characters' said 3 things throughout the whole damn thing: What had happened, what was currently happening, or what was going to happen. I am not joking, that was IT.
