  • I was wondering the same thing. I already have a three way toggle and independent volumes. So I can already do this with no mods. I want my existing switch to be active in the up and down position, but be killed in the middle position. Is that possible?

  • @lastnightsdinner do you know how to wire it so that only the middle position is off and the up and down positions make it turn on?

  • can you please show me where the hot and ground are exactly ??

  • tom morello fan? if you are good cuz he kicks ass

  • my toggle switch has four tong things three in a row on the front and one one the back does it work the same way

  • I don't understand this video. I have build a killswitch with a 3-toggle switch today. all u need to do is put one cable of the toggle on the hot wire and the other wire on ground. the wire that isn't connected with your guitar jack is the off position. for example: wire 1 ground | wire 2 not connected | wire 3 power that makes the left position on the middle off and the right on. on | off | on that would be the perfect 3 way toggle killswitch. mine is on | on | off right now. sucks a lil bit
  • And if it's so, could you send scheme to me?

  • Can I make it with my tele?

  • Why not just spend a dollars on an on off switch way better and just as simple.

  • @Miniak it was a crap guitar and fun to experiment on. I no longer own it but i was a good learning tool because there was nothing to damage.

  • Where did you get the switch?

  • @stormrage1221 radioshack

  • This will create an on/off/on switch, not a on/off/off switch. i modded my ec-1000 with this setup to create a chirping toggle for very fast quick clipping sounds. i think that to create a on/off/off toggle you would have to have to connect the middle post (both pickups setting) and the opposite post of which you want to kill the signal.. this meaning, if you want the down position to allow the signal, you need to solder the up position.

informative video and really cool mod to do to any guitar

  • @dackhead so he got it wrong? im just wondering cas im gonna mod my jackson dinky and im not sure on how to do it exactly. thanks

  • Good vid but I want to use it for something different. Actually I want to use it as a cut off switch for 2 sets of speakers BC my amp does not have an A,B switch so I would like to cut off one pair of speakers keep the others on or have both on @ the same time. I know I'll need two switches to do this. But I don't know how to install BC the wire on the speakers are NEG- POS+ (2) but your switch has (3) post. I'm using basic speaker wire.

  • you sound like Jason Lee a bit
