so i forgot my keys and got locked out of my house. i tried this on the deabolt. it was a lot harder than he made it seem -__- first of all there were a lot of the things on the sides. like where the grooves of the key go on the side. and on the top, there was a groove right where youre supposed to lift the pins. i got stuck outside for 4 hours in 100 degree weather >_>

i try to do this with with a paper clip and and the clip that a pen has, as a tension rench on a kwikset deadbolt but my paper clip cant get through the first pin, ive already tried it on door knob locks and it work like a charm but on dead bolts it sux

I'll agree with the fact it isn't easy, for the most part it's practice and luck, some doors can be easily unlocked, others not so easily. I watched my friend do it while at camp once, but the doors were probably 30 years old, and so were the locks.

actually you cant go to prison for picking a lock... only if you get caut stealing expenisve things after you pick the lock of a residence/business.... picking a lock is a misdomeanor and you most likely will do a few hours in country jail and bail out.
